Authorities are asking for the public's help finding a Payette man who has been missing for a week.

43-year-old Jeff Brenner was last seen on Monday, May 29. According to the Payette County Sheriff's Office, Brenner had planned to go turkey hunting near Council with a friend, but never returned home.

His vehicle was discovered Friday on Dry Creek Road near Little Willow Road in northeastern Payette County.

He is described as being 5-feet-11 inches tall, and weighing 160 pounds. Brenner has light brown hair and hazel eyes.
He was last seen in a 1993 Ford F-150.

I do not understand why the Sheriffs office didnt get this out sooner? When was the last time Jeff was actually seen by a person? Was truck found the same as it is in pic? Are people searching daily? I'd like to help.

I am also curious.
Rumor- I did see it mentioned that it isn't turkey hunting time.

ETA and what about the friend?

Police say a body was reportedly found near an irrigated field along Big Willow Road and Dry Creek Road this morning.

The Payette County Coroner identified the man as Brenner, according to a news release from the Payette County Sheriff’s Office.
The area he was found is near the area Brenner’s pickup, a 1993 Ford F-150, was discovered on Friday in the northeast portion of Payette County, according to the release.
Payette County dispatch received a report of a found body from the landowner. Deputies responded to the area and discovered Brenner’s body, according to the release.

The cause of death is still under investigation.

It seems like Turkey Hunting season ended May 25th: https://idfg.idaho.gov/sites/default/files/seasons-rules-upland-turkey-2016-2017_0.pdf

Although it does say you have to apply for a Fall permit between May 1 and June 5th so maybe they were getting Turkey permits for the Fall and family misunderstood? IDK.

I'm curious about what happened to the friend, too.
