Search launched for missing girl

The Shoshone-Bannock Tribes have activated their emergency operations center to coordinate the search for a missing 2-year-old girl.

Tribal authorities are also asking for all available community members to help look for the toddler who was reported missing late Friday night in the area of Ariwite and Broncho roads about four miles northwest of the Fort Hall townsite.

The tribes have identified the missing 2-year-old as only "Jerika" and reported that she was last seen wearing pink clothes on West Broncho Road.

Help is needed!! there is a missing 2 year old girl name Jerika, last seen wearing pink clothes on Broncho road. Family are asking community with flashlights to come out & help .

If you would like to assist, volunteers are asked to go to Destiney Tino home (address unknown but will post once we receive).

Update: the Department of Public Safety has activated the EOC (Emergency Operations Center) which updates will be provided from the dpt.

Search continues Saturday for missing 2-year-old girl | East Idaho News

Officials from multiple agencies, along with dozens of volunteers, spent hours searching for the girl. The Department of Public Safety activated an Emergency Operations Center early Saturday morning.

“Been out searching all night with everyone who came out to help find the girl. We just got home at 4:30 a.m. from Broncho Road. Hopefully the little girl is found safe and sound,” Chase Davis wrote on Facebook.

Ugh. She's only two.

Of course, my first thought is check any water. Ditches, ponds etc.

What time did she go missing? Was it after dark? Who was watching her?

Poor baby. I sure hope she's safe somewhere.

UPDATE 9:40 a.m.:


FORT HALL – Shoshone-Bannock Tribe officials report the missing 2-year-old girl has been found alive.

“The little girl was safely found and being checked my EMS,” according to their Facebook page.

An EastIdahoNews.com user who assisted in the search says Jerika was found in a field a mile away from where she was last seen.

Her condition is currently unknown.''
