I thought it was posted early on that Chad sold his home to a child. Wasn't it the plan for Chad and Lori to purchase a mobile home as the newlyweds new home?

Yes. I believe that there was a place in Chad's backyard that they were going to place a cement pad down. Too bad for them they dwadled on that plan.

BBM. I don't remember reading that in any media reports. When Chad was arrested, he signed over his house to JP (not sure if entire house), so the latter took on his defense.

that’s absolutely correct. I think Prior did that to ensure, after realizing Chad’s shaky financial situation, that this was a sure way to ensure that he can collect some compensation no matter what the outcome for his client is. I think it was pretty smart, at least in the sense of not working with Chad and just believing he will get paid someday. (They’re in custody, they aren’t making money, they weren’t said to have tons of money before this, and if Chad did, then I think Prior would’ve went that route rather than all the property stuff).

I also think Means will try to stay on the case as long as he can. I hold the opinion, based on seeing many of his older (and newer) social media posts that he seems to have a genuine passion for ensuring everyone is treated equally under the law and that every defendant has a fair trial. I think that’s a great thing for any defense attorney to have, of course he hasn’t focused on defense work fir most of his career, but just based on older tweets of his I really think he’s very passionate about this. Very passionate about ensuring that the State/prosecution really proves their case beyond a reasonable doubt. You may not like Means, and I’m certainly not his #1 fan, but I do think that type of passion and dedication is really good to have in an attorney. Unfortunately, as I’m sure we have all seen before, cases in which the State does a really sloppy job and gets away with somewhat questionable tactics but the defendant has a not-so-great lawyer that just lets the State run with what they’re doing (whether it’s not raising Objections or failing to thoroughly question a state expert in front of a jury, etc). I think of cases like Todd Mullins with the State saying those (IMO) outrageous stuff he may have said in the audio and how his Defense didn’t refute that at all during the trial, just as one example. If Means does really have that level of dedication, I think he will be trying his best to stay on the case as long as he can. I don’t think he will be given unlimited resources and go crazy with wasting taxpayer funds on his defense at all either. I think he will try his best, and that he will try his best because he genuinely cares. Regardless if he believes or even know what his client has done, he can still want to ensure she has a fair trial. JMOO.

That is as I remember it, too. We had quite a lengthy discussion about that at the time.

Thank you, yes I remember Chad signing over the house to the attorney. Maybe I'm thinking that one of Chad’s kids moved in.

So will Chad be able to file as Lori did if he still co-owns the house and maybe Vehicles?

They are not topics for discussion here, but I also remember the kids moving in. It seemed odd to me, and more than a little creepy, but I guess they had few options, if any. Prior may have agreed to that as part of the deal with CD.

I wonder if they proved Chad killed Tammy if that disqualifies him from inheriting her half of the house? In which case, what becomes of him signing it over to his lawyer for payment????

Good question. Idaho has a slayer rule. I did not read it yet. I am wondering if a murderer of one's own spouse causes the murderer to lose their half of what is jointly owned or just the spouses half? If only the murderer's name is on the propery or bank account, then it is not a gain from the death. I found the statue online but have not read it to find out yet.

I asked Lori Hellis that question and she replied with this . Good question! The slayer law only applies to people convicted of murder and it is not retroactive so it takes effect upon conviction. That means any transactions that occurred before the conviction are not invalidated. Chad inherited Tammy’s half of the house under Idaho inheritance law. He then transferred his entire interest to Prior in exchange for legal representation. Prior owns the house and a later conviction for murder won’t change that. As long as Chad owned the house he could not be declared indigent, but it was clear at that point that he had no money left so it’s no surprise now that Lori has been declared indigent. Life insurance policies are contracts between the insurance company and the beneficiary. It depends on the language of the contract whether the insurance company can sue Chad for the money- but they probably understand they will never get it back. Looks like Prior is only one on the house deed now.

I would like to think that CD sits in his cell and contemplates about TD. She seemed to be pretty great. And was working, managing his business, plus her full time job, and let him travel doing whatever he wanted.

Then, he met up with LVD.

We perhaps shall see if Court TV gives up their "source".

Even if a summons went out, and a person who recieved such for a special seating, where did Court TV get the information as to for Tammy... in addition to Lori and Chad for their headline. MOO, it's not like when you get a summons it tells you WHO and what the potential charges are.

Hmmmm... nothing from any other news source still.

I'm interested that Court TV, almost 24 hours later, as being the ONLY outlet and no one else has picked up on such.

Even Nancy... who picks up anything off the ground has not published. MOO
Agree. The cases to br heard dont won’t by on the summons.

I wonder if there is anything else to be uncovered? I mean deaths prior to Joe Ryan or between Joe and Charles Vallow?

Has CD got anything hidden in his closet? Or did he turn to hiding bodies since meeting LVD?

All just my very own opinion

This case has given me such a suspicious mind.
Suspicious? When it comes to those two I’d call it “

Do you believe the information Court TV has provided (however obtained) is incorrect? Genuinely curious.

I've stated that I don't think they would report such a bold item without certainty. Court dockets, packed parking lots, etc...would suggest they might not be wrong

Tammy certainly got a raw deal, which she in no way deserved.

I’m glad Lori was found indigent. She may get the best attorney there is to defend her just for the notariety but as she sits in her cell she knows her new hubby isn’t paying her bills. I love it.

I would also like to think his family will one day realize what he did to Tammy, Tylee, and JJ and be appalled he is still breathing.
