"Fremont County Len Humphries says one of Daybell’s sons is living in Salem and he refuses to speak with Law enforcement. He also says, they are trying very hard to provide and come up with the evidence that is necessary to take care of this and the one way or the other come to a conclusion."Yet again pushing the line saying something like this while waiting for my verification phonecall, but:
The Daybell kids have been in communication with their dad for a while now. Despite Chad and Lori being missing. From what I've heard, this line of contact has been kept as long as the kids don't talk with law enforcement. They've taken this a step further and cut communication with the extended family on their mom's side, which includes me. We've been lucky enough to have some contact with one of the kids, but even that has been limited. So based on this understanding, the kids are having to choose between their dad they've known as a loving father their whole life, and supporting law enforcement in this case. I know it looks bad, and I'm sure they realize it looks bad, but please remember that this all occurred soon after their mother's death. Everyone related to Tammy is still grieving, and I'm sure the Daybells have felt that the hardest. Not everyone makes the best decisions, especially in times of grief. Thanks for reading.
My opinion only from what I’ve gathered reading a freedom from LDS page.
Several people there said that they belong(ed) to the website ‘Another Voice of Warning’ (AWOV) that’s owned by Christopher Parrett.
The main players (visionaries) on this website are Julie Rowe, Hector Sosa, and Chad Daybell.
According to these members the website has a paywall and then Chad Daybell has a private sub forum within the site with another paywall. So, a paywall to join the site and then another paywall to access Chad’s secret sub-forum with his teachings.
Chad, Julie and Hector call themselves visionaries and claim to be prophets that people will come to for answers and guidance during the end times/tribulation period. They are teaching doomsday doctrine (earthquakes).
According to the members, Chad Daybell told the owner of the AVOW site (Christopher) back in October that he was “leaving to go Hawaii to grieve and write another book.”
According to the members of the site, no one has seen or heard from Chad since and many of the members there are now upset because he’s not been there and they’re still paying for access to his sub-forum.
The owner of the site didn’t tell the members until very recently that Chad was gone and then he finally shut down Chad’s account and his secret sub-forum.

Yeah, he was grieving all right- in the arms of another woman he married and disappeared with.My opinion only from what I’ve gathered reading a freedom from LDS page.

Thanks for posting this!Chad Daybell: 5 Fast Facts You Need to Know | Heavy.com
After reading this article, and also the link in the article to the Daily Mail, apparently Chad Daybell has been excommunicated by the LDS church for proclaiming to be a prophet.
That is a very big deal. And also has implications regarding Tammy Daybell, who appeared to be very active in the LDS church, I wonder how this affected their marriage? It doesn't just happen overnight, there are meetings, letters, interviews before an excommunication.
Also, it looks like "Preppers for the People" have completely cut off the cord from Lori and Chad, that is pretty significant, when a prepper cult drops a member.
What was the date of the most recent photo? Is Tylee in any of the photos?**ALSO- TYLEE'S PHOTOGRAPHY-DEDICATED Instagram account has photos that are tagged as being in Hawaii.
I'm catching up on the thread (page 8/15 as of writing) after avoiding this story for the past 2 days so I could have an actual Christmas with my family, and by the looks of things will be having a phonecall with Websleuths staff regarding Insider Verification.
Until the verification process is complete, I just wanted to step in and say that Chad and Tammy's kids should be left out of things unless evidence comes out suggesting they are more directly involved. Supporting their dad, while a bit off from our perspective, can have legitimate reasons that we are unaware of. The Daybell family has been harassed by strangers IRL to my understanding, and adding to that online is unnecessary. Thanks.
Welcome, and I'm glad you are here to try and help us understand what might be going on in this very complicated case.Yet again pushing the line saying something like this while waiting for my verification phonecall, but:

That's what the post sounded like to me. They (Daybell children) are still communicating with their father somehow, on the condition they don't talk to law enforcement?Hi Maxxer500, am I correct in recalling that you are a member of the Daybell family? I agree that Chad's children shouldn't be harassed by strangers. Their support of their father in the light of all that has come out is questionable but I understand why they would want to believe whatever their dad says is going on-- they likely love him and want to believe the best of their dad. However, I can't think of any legitimate reason they could possibly have for not cooperating with police in the search for the missing kids and/or the investigation into their mom's death. That's a concerning development. That makes me think that the son who is not cooperating knows something and/or is helping Lori and Chad hide while they know police want to question them. I hope you get verified soon so that you can share more about your knowledge of the situation.
MOO.
BBM. Gray said that Alex was with her in the house when she died and that he used her credit card after her death.
Per the youtube show, Charles actually had custody of Joshua. But he had to travel for work several days a week. So apparently during that time Lori was watching Joshua. Charles' sister was trying to convince him to leave Lori for good, move to Houston, then she (the sister) was going to watch Joshua when Charles traveled, but that hasn't happened. Apparently Charles was nuts about Lori, even though at the end of their marriage it became obvious (at least to Charles' sister) that Lori no longer wanted to be with Charles.Interesting. I guess she had full custody by default then... who knows about child support though.
BBMSince Chad and Lori issued a statement through an attorney, does this put them in the category of now being "Lawyer-ed Up"? Was this a strategic move on their part to now having an attorney on retainer and now dont have to say anything ?
Thanks for posting this!
Key info as you point out about the LDS excommunication which most likely means he cannot count on their shelter assistance as Chad/Lori are on the run and in hiding. I do wonder if they prepared for a period of hiding?
Shunning within the LDS community has been discussed and debated in other cases. But usually when someone is excommunicated from the LDS then ties are cut and some form of ostracising does occur more broadly, especially when 'false teachers or prophets' are involved.
The Shunning Key: Whom Mormons shun and why
Quotes from article:
The Shunning Key
The key to understanding most3 shunning in the LDS Church is to realize that Latter-day Saints would typically never shun someone who merely left the Church or became less-active—these are the kinds of individuals that Church members will often reach out to. Official Latter-day Saint material is rich in examples of members reaching out to less actives or those who had merely wandered from the Gospel path (see this example).
However, while a lost or wayward “former member” or “less-active” is not typically shunned, there are some categories of individuals whom members are explicitly taught to avoid: false prophets, false teachers (used synonymously with the terms “deceivers” and “antichrists”4), and faith-killers (“apostate” is a term sometimes used-synonymously with faith-killers). These terms sound extreme—they must be a rare exception, right? Who are these false prophets, false teachers, and faith-killers?
Flee from false teachers and false prophets
M. Russell Ballard taught that false prophets and false teachers are those who (with minor wording changes to make a list):
He goes on to warn:
- Declare that the Prophet Joseph Smith was a duplicitous deceiver
- Challenge the First Vision as an authentic experience
- Declare that the Book of Mormon and other canonical works are not ancient records of scripture
- Attempt to redefine the nature of the Godhead
- Deny that God has given and continues to give revelation today to His ordained and sustained prophets
- Arrogantly attempt to fashion new interpretations of the scriptures to demonstrate that these sacred texts should not be read as God’s words to His children but merely as the utterances of uninspired men, limited by their own prejudices and cultural biases
- Argue that the scriptures require new interpretation
- Deny Christ’s Resurrection and Atonement, arguing that no God can save us
- Reject the need for a Savior
- Attempt to reinterpret the doctrines of the Church to fit their own preconceived views, and in the process deny Christ and His messianic role
- Those who attempt to change the God-given and scripturally based doctrines that protect the sanctity of marriage, the divine nature of the family, and the essential doctrine of personal morality
- Advocate a redefinition of morality to justify fornication, adultery, and homosexual relationships
- Openly champion the legalization of so-called same-gender marriages
- To justify their rejection of God’s immutable laws that protect the family, [they] even attack the inspired proclamation on the family issued to the world in 1995 by the First Presidency and the Twelve Apostles
Our safety, our peace, lies in … fleeing from false prophets and false teachers…5
My assumption is that Chad, as a returned LDS missionary, married Tammy in an LDS temple ceremony.
Were Lori and Chad married in the LDS temple? That would be interesting to know. Or was it just a civil service, that did not even involve their LDS bishop.
After reading the statements friend attributes to Lori, my mind boggles as to why the friend says she trusted Lori with her kids.
I saw those two pics too...actually was quite curious about who was in the background. No, I don’t know them. I clicked on her FB profile whenever I saw her comments on the Rexburg PD page. At that time her profile and photos were “public” and I saved the two photos of her mother’s burial in October. I didn't see much of else of interest there.
Now when I just went back to check her page it says “this page no longer exists” so she’s deleted her FB.
