ABC News reported Sunday afternoon that the step-father of two missing Rexburg children told them that the youth are not in danger.

Chad Daybell told the network about his two step children, Tylee Ryan and J.J. Vallow, as he boarded an airplane to Idaho.

“The kids are safe,” he reportedly told ABC.

In the email dated June 29, 12 days before his death, Vallow says he suspects his wife, Lori, and Daybell were "up to something." He alleged she created a false email account on his behalf and sent an email to Daybell asking him to be a ghostwriter for a book he was never actually writing.

Some quotes from the fake email include:

"We really enjoyed having you stay with us back in November when you came to the Preparing A People conference."
"I'm willing to pay you well to help me get this book into shape as my ghostwriter."
"Is there any way you could come here for a couple of days and help me get the book underway?"
"You could stay in our guest room like before, or in a hotel if you prefer."
"I hate to take you from your family, but I know this book is vital to my speaking success."

Charles Vallow, 62, was killed by his wife’s brother, Alex Cox, during what was initially described as a domestic dispute on July 11 in Chandler, Arizona.

Two weeks earlier, Charles wrote an email to another brother-in-law, Adam Cox, in which he claimed that Lori had created an email account in his name and used it invite Daybell, who lived in Idaho, to visit him in Arizona.

“I would gladly fly you down here early next week,” the bogus invite read. “You could stay in our guest room like before. I hate to take you away from your family, but I would definitely make it worth your time.”

When Charles got wind of the email, he questioned Lori about it but got no answers.

“I’m not sure of the relationship with her and Chad Daybell but they are up to something… She will not explain it…” he wrote to Adam Cox, according to KSL.

“I am going to send it to Chad Daybell’s wife. Her name is Tammy and I found her email address on their website too… I’ve got her cell number too.”

It’s not clear if Charles ever contacted Tammy. And three months after he was killed, she was dead, too. Weeks later, Lori and Chad—who bonded in a doomsday prepper group—got married.

Sgt. Jason McClimans of the Chandler, Arizona, Police Department called the email “suspicious.”

“It draws various questions that we would need to ask Lori and Tylee and possibly Chad to get to the bottom of it,” he said.

Arizona Police Investigating ‘Suspicious’ Email In Connection To Lori Vallow’s Former Husband’s Death

Police confirmed they are looking into the email obtained by KSL TV, which Vallow allegedly sent on June 29 to his other brother-in-law, Adam Cox.

“It is suspicious and it draws various questions that we would need to ask Lori and Tylee and possibly Chad to get to the bottom of it,” said Sergeant Jason McClimans with the Chandler Police Department in a phone interview.

In his message to Adam Cox, Charles Vallow claimed Lori Vallow created an email alias for him and used it to send a message to Chad Daybell the day before, inviting him to visit Arizona and write a book.

Charles Vallow suspected his wife wrote the letter, pretending to be him.

Excerpts from the message said in part: “I would gladly fly you down here early next week…you could stay in our guest room like before. I hate to take you away from your family, but I would definitely make it worth your time. With Admiration, Charles.”

Charles Vallow expressed concern about that message to Adam Cox, saying, “I’m not sure of the relationship with her and Chad Daybell but they are up to something…She will not explain it…I am going to send it to Chad Daybell’s wife. Her name is Tammy and I found her email address on their website too…I’ve got her cell number too.”

Chandler police said they are also working closely with the other agencies over the other cases tied to the missing children including the Fremont County, Idaho, Sheriff’s Office, which is over Tammy Daybell’s suspicious death investigation; the Gilbert, Arizona, Police Department, which is investigating Alex Cox’s death; and the Rexburg, Idaho, Police Department and FBI, which are directly over the disappearance of Ryan and JJ Vallow.

Chandler police said they’re considering sending detectives to question Lori Vallow after her extradition to Idaho.

“I most likely think they will try to interview her again. We would love to sit down and talk to Lori,” McClimans said.

It was unclear if Charles Vallow ever contacted Tammy Daybell about the letter.

Chad Daybell has not been charged in any of the investigations as of Saturday.

Lori Vallow’s extradition is expected next week; she faces two felony charges related to the two children’s disappearance.

Tylee Ryan's Aunt Annie made a request on her social media:

I have a question/request for my brilliant developer friends.

BACKGROUND
We now know my niece, Tylee Ryan, was last seen in Yellowstone National Park on Sep 8, 2019 with her little brother, JJ, her mother, Lori Vallow Daybell, and her uncle, Alex Cox. This is the date she was last seen, and it looks like she was gone by Sep 18, when a nanny said there was no sign that Tylee lived in Lori's Rexburg apartment.

THE OBJECTIVE
Law Enforcement has to wait until some of the snow melts in the park to start searching for Tylee there. And I'm sure they have GPS data from their cell phones that they are using or have used to triangulate an area(s) to search. But pictures of this dastardly duo with or without Tylee could provide assistance with regard to timestamps that can be pulled from the metadata.

THE NEED
Does anyone know someone with the chops to write a script that would scrape all social shares on Facebook, Twitter, and Instagram that use Yellowstone related hashtags and checkins? If I had these in a spreadsheet, I have an army of volunteers from various Facebook groups who could go through these posts and reach out to each of these people to ask them to look through their pics for any pics of Tylee and company for that day.

I'm, of course, more than happy to pay for this person's time.

I hope you are doing well. This is Charles Vallow from Arizona. We really enjoyed having you stay with us back in November when you came to the Preparing A People Conference. I appreciated you taking time to talk to me about the book I've been working on. Well, more than six months later I still haven't made much progress on it, but I feel an urgency to get it done. As the Managing Partner of RITE Planning Group I'm going to have the opportunity to speak at various conventions beginning in the fall, but everyone says I need to have a book available that summarizes my life and shares the principles I follow.

So I will cut to the chase. I'm willing to pay you well to help me get this book into shape as my ghostwriter. I really liked you autobiography and the tone you took in sharing experiences without preaching. Is there any way you could come here for a couple of days and help me get the book underway? I feel talking in person would be much more valuable than a phone call or video chat, mainly because I would like you to read through some of my journals and explain to me how the publishing industry works. It would help me know whether I truly have a book in me, and whether you want to team up on it. I played minor league baseball and have plenty of stories that my audience could relate to, along with the knowledge I've gained running my own company. I asked her to explain it and she started blaming you, Brandon and me for perpetuating a scheme against her. Just more of her paranoia. She will not explain it. I am going to send it to Chad Daybell's wife. Her name is Tammy and I found her email address on their website. I've got her cell number too. Sounds very suspicious to me. What do you think? Lori Vallow and doomsday writer husband reportedly traded emails about ‘missions,’ ‘white camps’

As speculation swirls about possible ties between Lori Vallow and a doomsday cult, her husband’s friend says he thought he had “some kind of priesthood authority.”

Chad Daybell was known in certain circles for his fictional doomsday books, Julie Rowe told Fox 10, and frequently talked about "his near-death experience and the visions he’s had about mostly what’s coming to Idaho and Utah,”

But Daybell, who published Rowe’s books, never struck her as a “cult leader.”

“He never was like that when I was around him,” she told Fox 10. “But I have never been to any of the small gatherings that he conducted in different people’s homes in Idaho or Utah.”

It’s unclear when Vallow and Daybell began interacting, but her husband, Charles, found emails between the two in October 2018, according to the TV station.

One of the emails spoke of “seven missions to accomplish together,” including “white camps” in Arizona, food distribution for the tribulations and supply provisions for “righteous members of families,” according to Fox 10.

“He thinks that he has some kind of priesthood authority or sealing power that has been given to him to perform ordinances that one day will be on the Earth but are not now and he has no business messing with any of this,” Rowe said.

“So I don’t know why he thinks Idaho or Arizona are any place special other than I have seen gathering places there and I know when we talked about it he did too but he seems to have taken it several steps further.”

Police in Chandler, Arizona, are looking into an email allegedly sent by Lori Vallow’s husband Charles — before he was shot and killed by her brother — to another of Lori’s brothers in which he said he believed his wife had set up an email account in his name and emailed Chad Daybell from it.

Charles Vallow wrote to his wife’s brother Adam Cox on June 29, telling him that the letter to Daybell invited the doomsday cult author to come to Chandler to visit and write a book, KSL reported.

Chandler Police Sgt Jason McClimans that the department received the letter shortly after Charles Vallow’s death.

“It is suspicious and it draws various questions that we would need to ask Lori and Tylee and possibly Chad to get to the bottom of it,” said McClimans.
