How did they enter Yellowstone with Tylee and J.J., then leave with just J.J., and no one, not even J.J., was alarmed?? He's out playing in front of the house two weeks later?
well i mean, it was described as *playing* so we've all kinda gone with that. but ive watched that video several times and its deeply troubling because to me what we see just does not come across as play, JJ is clearly agitated and i think we hear him swearing. granted we have no way of knowing what typical behavior looked like for him BUT i keep wondering if he was only outside because Lori or whoever was at home that day didnt want to deal with him acting up and threw him out "Go Play" you know.

we have no way of knowing how much JJ understood of what was going on around him but in my school and fam experience with ASD kids, they are super smart and aware of e-v-e-r-y-t-h-i-n-g. they take in far more info about everything than ppl with neurotypical filters. the breakdown is in their inhibited ability to process so much additional awareness, hence much of the acting out and (to us) odd behaviors.

i believe JJ was undoubtedly distraught over his sister's disappearance, and he would have been manifesting differently than a neurotypical child would, and i honestly feel that video caught a tiny snippet.

Thats interesting. Why in Arizona, and not in HI? And why Arizona?
I think Hawaii houses prisoners in several states and Arizona is one of them. I think because it is cheaper.

Searching for a ‘soak’ led to hot pool death
The attached image from Google maps satellite view (annotated by me) shows that the "pathway" to this particular pool is easily traversable on foot approximately 225 yards West through a thicket of trees. It's easy to see why the former person was able to get into the area around the pool without anyone stopping him.

While the article notes there were no remains to be found in the pool overnight. If this was the case with TR, there would be no way to recover her. However, there would be evidences of her being there. The wooden walkway is constructed in Norris basin as much to protect people as it is to protect the landscape. Humans walking through the area would leave heavy visible footprints in the crusted mineral deposits. Whether these would remain after winter snows is unknown. The digital footprint of phones involved would also be telling.

Google maps allows you to drop the little yellow guy right on the boardwalk in this area. While those footprints might well be very noticeable in the mineral deposits closer to the pool, it sure doesn't look like footprints would be obvious in the tree area between the pool and the boardwalk. (And the ground there looks safe enough that I'm not at all surprised people wander off. I'm surprised at how little underbrush there is. (Never been to Yellowstone, considered stopping there during a road trip last October myself, and then the weather acted up. Not entirely sure I *want* to go now, lol.) It's disconcertingly dry and alien-looking for my PNW soul.

Hair length and style and even coat look similar, but the person in the news image isn't as tall as I estimated the door visitor, and she wouldn't be caught dead in those boots. She'd wear cowboy boots.
RSBM

Interesting! Thanks, RS. So are Uggs not in style in Idaho? For example, could that help us narrow down if the unidentified woman is from out of state?

To me and IMO it’s too easy to say that she may have MH issues, may have suffered abuse as it justifies or excuses her actions. We all make choices and have to face the consequences of our actions. What makes some survivors of abuse killers when it doesn’t to others? MOO

Those with APD usually have trauma in their past: Abuse and neglect in childhood: relationship to personality disorder diagnoses. - PubMed - NCBI

No one feels sorry for Lori. At least I do not. But if we form a one sided view of her, we are not being objective and we will miss the truth behind her motives. We must understand a criminal in order to know where to look. And adding MH issues to her profile is not making it too easy. It's adding an additional piece to the puzzle. There is no one cause behind criminal acts. There are multiple. Mental Health is one such factor that cannot be dismissed nor can its causes. There are other factors at play but we can't pick and choose the ones we like and don't like because we are swayed by our emotion/like or dislike of someone.[/QUOTE]

I agree, we are responsible for our choices, regardless of what cards life has dealt us.

There are plenty of people that have all of these disorders and more, that live perfectly normal lives. It comes down to our choices.

I heard about a story once that proves the point. I don't remember the source.

There were two brothers that had been raised by a single father. The father was extremely abusive to them, beat on them and berated them constantly.

Years later a reporter interviewed both of them (separately), neither brother knew the other was being interviewed.

The first brother that was interviewed was now a professional (I honestly forgot his profession, but has no significance). The reporter asked him the following question:

"How did you turn out this way?", or a very similar question. It's been a while since I heard the original version.

The Brother answered. "What do you expect being raised by a father like that."

The other brother she interviewed was in prison, and had a long list of felonies. She asked him the same question: "How did you turn out this way?"

This Brother answered. "What do you expect being raised by a father like that."

Isn't it funny that they were both raised in the same environment, under the same conditions, but made very different choices in life. MOO:)

Source? (for Lori knowing Chad's family before Tammy's death)

The source is not allowed here. It is from a posting by a family member before this all blew up and became public.

Well, if he has no idea who she is why would anyone else? :p

Ha! Thanks for the chuckle. It's pretty hard to argue that they have the wrong person in custody if her own lawyers don't know her identity. LOL.

Yes, he's an authorized source here.

Because Gray Hughes has a youtube where he discusses being contacted by a family member who says L and CD knew each other going back to 2016. @Nosurprise may be interested in the transcript around 34:44 or so.

It is probable. Of course i cannot know for sure. Trauma occuring in childhood literally shapes the way the brain is formed. So, greed, lust, ability to utilize executive functioning to limit them, etc. are certainly all affected by it. It cannot be erased. Nevertheless is it only one factor. There are multiple others.

What is interesting with the brain, is that all of this can be changed. I am actually learning about this. It's called Neuroplasticity. Scientist are now saying that we can literally change any psychological tendencies that we have. So, all of this is malleable, and in theory reversible. MOO

Right. Everyone in Bundy's Mormon ward in Salt Lake were convinced it was a big mistake.

MOO
Wasn’t Ayoola Ajoyi in the Mackenzie Lueck horrific murder considered a ward member as well?

If it's not officially confirmed or sourced, then we can't accept it as fact.

ooh interesting observation! this is neither here nor there but UGGS and cowboy boots are quite popular in the PNW valley metro areas- lots of ladies happily wear both in my region

I found myself wondering if the landlord will comply. He lives in Texas so the Idaho warrant is not binding on him. I would comply personally because I would want to help get her convicted. But I have reason to believe that the owners are not paying their Hawaii general excise and transient accommodation taxes so complying could get them in trouble in Hawaii. My conclusion about taxes is based on looking at the VRBO ad while it was still up, noting the tax license number they list and looking up the number, which does not exist!

Idaho prosecutors can enlist the help of his jurisdiction should he fail to comply.

Everyone should go there at least once. (Preferably not in a rainstorm, so I get skipping it then.) It was the first national park for a reason. The PNW has some incredible scenic beauty, but Yellowstone is unique beyond words.

I don't know. (I had to Google that as it didn't sound familiar at all and after finding it is only vaguely famliar.)

MOO... to me, the biggest thing that comes across from Lori is full-blown narcissist, probably the golden child of another narcissist or narcissist/enabler duo. I'd almost lay odds that Alex is the scapegoat and the other AC is the forgotten child, at least of the remaining children. These dynamics can switch, too, depending on which children remain in the home, and who is the favored one - or who is the NOT-favored one, so the others can be used against them. It seems to me that Tylee may have moved between golden and forgotten, JJ between golden and scapegoat, and Colby between scapegoat and forgotten.

If you haven't experienced the dynamic yourself, it's very easy to miss from the outside, especially as often, the family will look ideal from the outside. A narcissist can be extremely good at portraying a vision to the outside world that is not just non-existent, but totally the opposite of reality.

IMO: Socio/psychopath, probably. Narcissist, definitely. She's definitely got all the charm and manipulation down pat.

It's almost never the creepy ones you should be worried about. It's the ones that seem too perfect that are the really dangerous ones.

Lori will likely keep playing the victim, but I think Chad is less predictable. MOO.
i think so too. he's awfully good with that aw-shucks-jiminy face... i'm torn as to whether he's as big a doofus as he comes across or really good at masking. he sure seems to have history of knowing how to make that whole corn-fed look/demeanor work for him.
