That makes no sense since there was no cause or case for that until after they disappeared, and she and Chad ran.
Actually, with the timeline being what it was, they asked her to produce the children in January. At that time obviously the children had not been seen for a long time and the police had become involved back in Nov.
That's who I was talking about. Sitting back there trying to blend in with the reporters. Jmo

Live court comment by state said something like Lori was planning to move even before her husband passed away. Did I hear that right?
yes, that is what the attorney stated

Yes, she said that Idaho wants to take the children and put them in foster care, therefore that is the reason she is not presenting the children.
That's ridiculous. Tylee was too old for the foster care system and JJ could have easily gone to the Woodcocks. It's not like she had any issues with abandoning him. She already had a history of it.

That was a VERY interesting piece of information from her attorney, because if untrue means that he(attorney) and she (LV) is lying in court. Which makes me think that it was a truthful statement. And honestly I think that provides her with a great defense for not producing the children, if idaho authorities were threatening to put them in foster care

The court order was to submit the kids to the custody of child protection for evaluation. I don't think any state would consider it to be a valid reason to flee or violate a court order.

In Hawaii we have two taxes that apply to short term rentals. One is called the GET (General Excise Tax) and is pretty much the same thing as a sales tax. It applies to almost everything bought and sold in Hawaii. It is about 4.25% but actually varies a bit by county as of the last year or so because the counties can now add a surcharge. The second is called the TAT (Transient Accommodation Tax). It is about 11% or more, I have not kept track. It applies to all rentals of less than 180 days. Each tax requires a license from the state and quarterly or monthly filings/payments.

Hawaii has really started to crack down on vacation rentals. About 5 or 6 years ago they started requiring all vacation rental ads to include the tax license number. For example, if you go to:

Comfortable two bedroom condo located in the Princeville Resort at Pali Ke Ku - Princeville

You will see the ad includes the line:

Registration Number: TA-008-552-5504-01, GE-008-552-5504-01

Those are the tax license numbers. I can then go to https://hitax.hawaii.gov

Enter T-008-552-5504 as the new customer ID (not a typo, T not TA or GE) and I will find that the owner has the proper licences and is in good standing.

That's just an example. When I previously did that for the place they were staying I could not match the numbers to an actual license. It's possible he is paying his taxes and there was just a type or something.

It is very common for people to try to avoid paying those taxes and the state is getting very aggressive.
Thanks a lot. Now that you explain, it is a bit like the "Tourist Development Tax" (bed tax) in FL. Maybe a typo..but strange they would put one that is innacurate.
I don't think that in itself is suspicious to the insurance company. It's not like she died the next day.
9 months?? On a 49 year old woman?? I would still find that a red flag.

I thought it was about arranging for Chad to visit her. But that was just my impression, I'm not a lip reader. MOO

I am. And I couldn't figure it out. She isn't enunciating well enough for me.

I totally agree. She (or someone at her request) killed the kids. Dumped the bodies somewhere. The girl didn’t leave the national park. I don’t think there’s much more. It’s clear.

Whatever her motives were she needs to be buried under the jail.

i do

I do not necessarily agree. We all have learned a lot about the mainstream LDS church, and how these different fringe groups have expanded their own religion, doctrine, beliefs etc... often in the name of "revelations, dreams, visions, --which are actually fostered, to some degree, within the mainstream church. But in our case, there are many many other things that still connect to the mainstream LDS church. Use/Misuse of Temples, interpretation/misinterpretation of doctrine or history, or other people of interest, all of whom have blossomed their own agendas from the mainstream church, and who may have something to do with secrets, money, and or other nepharious activities that we may need to understand.

I agree.

I grew up in a very staunch and rigid LDS environment, and was too a large extent indoctrinated with certain beliefs at a very young age. I come from a family that had very black and white thinking, for the most part.

I've been out of that environment for a long time. Although I still am semi-active, I have much different opinions on how I view things religiously.

I can see how easily one could be lead to believe very dangerous, & unorthodox ideas under the right circumstances. JMO MOO

I don’t agree. If Idaho’s warrants indicated they wanted to take the children into foster care that news would have been splashed everywhere. I do not believe that is the position of Idaho in the January warrant. The attorney might only be repeating what LV told him and would have plausible deniability

Really? Why would Idaho want to put them in foster care, when both children have relatives-JJ has grandpa and grandma, and Tylee has an older brother and an aunt. And by the way, a child has to be alive to be put in foster care.

Foster care has never been mentioned. Not sure why some here think this is some revelation when that news would have been all over the media. I wish someone would find a copy of the January warrant and confirm,

It must be my TV because on my screen her hair is bright duck yellow with brown underneath. It wasn't like that on the last hearing so I don't know what changed...the lights at the courthouse?
When her hair is smoothed over, (straightened), it covers most of the dark underneath portion, but with the curliness the dark brown underneath is much more visible.

Robert P. Jarvis is a Mesa criminal defense attorney. That explains a lot. He did sound a bit over the top for a family law practitioner, which is what I initially thought.
Yep. Her attorney in the divorce/custody case is a different attorney and law firm.

What is interesting is that she has been interviewed 3 times by the FBI. If she told so much as one lie, even if it is immaterial to whatever the FBI is investigating, she is going to get charged.

By the way, for those that are watching for activity, keep an eye on the Maricopa County Jail. You need first name, last name, and date of birth to search which you can get from some convenient sources like copies of Clark County, NV marriage licenses, for example. People arrested in Maricopa on out of state warrants or federal warrants will not show up in criminal court case searches on the Maricopa County court web site.

Hawaii to the Daybells: gtfo.
Oh trust me, she wanted to GTFO. Being a Caucasian in a Hawaiian jail, especially with these heinous charges, I’m not surprised that if she didn’t get the bail reduction she immediately waived extradition. Even in isolation you will get treated terribly by the guards.

Even on a good day being out in public is not always pleasant for a Caucasian here

I was in the courtroom today. Was in the area so decided to stop in and listen. At one point she looked behind her to where chad sat last week. It seemed to me she was looking to see if he was there, but that’s just based on my observation.
