I wonder if one of the Churches or "Meeting Houses" is very close to the Temple, so the language is sortof interchanged.

That wouldn't happen. In the LDS religion, churches and temples are VERY different.

It struck me as the kind of reference a motivational speaker makes who wants to motivate others among those listening who are not "in the know" to separate from some of their hard-earned cash to sign up as members and thereby become "in the know" so that they too can nod knowingly the next time he makes such a reference. JMO.

I don't get how these podcasts work. It would seem to be fairly cheap to produce them. But Color My Media would probably be charging someone to distribute and so forth. Are the podcasts to make money? To sell books? To promote membership in a group? Or are these people just paying to put their ideas out there? I have not listened all the way through any but there doesn't seem to be any obvious promotion. Do people have to sign up then get contacted later?

I know nothing about Rexburg but it has been mentioned before obliquely that Chad has family connections to the highest levels of LE in the county so it seems unlikely they would be able to keep that kind of thing quiet for too long.

I think the only thing he is likely to be charged with is Tammy's murder and only if something was found in the autopsy.

So possibly stumbling blocks are out and about by relations of Chad....no wonder this takes so long even with the virus. IMOO IF he was any kind of ‘such a nice person’ etc., he would cooperate with LE....does not look like that is happening....sad for the missing children and families who care.

And which youth groups was JM talking to traveling all over the country?
I believe the podcast is fair game since it is Lori and she is a POI. But don't think we can really talk about Jason.... but yes, he does do a lot with youth..

Of course she and Charles may have had temple recommends, and Charles especially really seemed to have been genuinely devout, but the point was less about being qualified to go vs. actually going everyday. Without getting too specific, one just doesn't "go" to the temple, like to sit alone randomly or something. There is very specific work to be done and things are well directed/supervised by people who work in the temples. Here is some information, in addition to what others have shared.
Purpose of Temple and Family History Work

This is why the information exchanged in the podcast with Lori makes no sense to me.... They talk as if she and Jason just happened to be hangin around and met in a room there....

podcast not missing..........readily available on youtube.....(to be clear...not one of Chads, but the one and only one of JM, MG, and Lori)

RIGHT.... but are some of them close--the actual churches and the temple in Gilbert? I was just thinking that Jason and Lori were "throwing around the Temple" to sound much more significant.....

No. There is no such family connection or familial loyalty to those in Fremont County that I am aware of. If anything there may be the opposite, a familial disdain for those in positions of authority for the handling of the investigation of Tammy's death and open campaigning in favor of opposing candidates.

No. The stumbling blocks are actually the delays caused by the virus, the autopsy investigation, and the postponing of the child abandonment case.

If you get high enough listenership you can get advertising, ask people to subscribe, etc. It typically takes years to start paying for itself. It's possible they already had a sponsor?

ETA: it could end up very much like the paid AVOW forums. Get people interested and then get them to pay for "higher learning". Just a guess?

As far as license plate removal, we need to keep in mind this is gossip for all practical purposes. I could say more, but I'm trying to keep us out of trouble. ;) So we might want to put a lid on the whole dump issue. Jmo

That was my thought as well. "Look how devout I am. I go to the Temple daily." It could also be a cover as others have mentioned. Temple ordinance work for the deceased can take a few hours on average. If one is in the habit of deceiving loved ones, saying "I'm going to the Temple" can buy nearly half a day of uninterrupted time to do other things. Why would they suspect such devotion at anything other than face value? There is no outward accounting to verify that the person was in fact at the Temple, doing ordinance work. Patrons receive no receipt to show they did baptisms for 25 people today or 10 sealing ordinances by proxy for the dead. Yes, they are recorded as being done within the Temple itself, but no record kept about Sister Jones stood in proxy for this ancestor. There's a lot of trust in the culture that people going to the Temple are honest and have no reason to lie. It is very possible for those without such scruples to use that lie to cover for other actions.

I’ve seen a few church buildings next to temples. We have one here in Rexburg for example.

I think it would be unlikely they met in a church building unless it was during a church thing (sacrament, baptism, ward event, etc). They are usually locked and you typically need to schedule it with a ward or stake to be able to use it outside of church uses.

Could Lori have been volunteering at the Temple?

Could Lori have been volunteering at the Temple?
Possibly. I honestly have no idea how committed of a member Lori is or was. I do know the temple here sometimes has a need for volunteers (who are current worthy recommend holders).

Although, imo that is a whole lot of temple time even for the most dedicated of members to be every day (when it’s open) for hours on end. Especially for a mother who is so committed to taking care of her kids.

All jmo

Melani says she spent her birthday in April 2019 serving in the temple doing 30 ordinances.

I wish we had a laughing button.

Idk if she is believing that at this point. If that was the case, I think she would have fought harder on the court date for the preliminary hearing being earlier. All jmo

I jusst listened to the JM/MG/LV podcast all the way through and skimmed the ZP podcast.

In the first one, which I actually thought was not too bad in many ways, they talk about each one of them having a breakdown and hitting rock bottom. Most of the podcast is JM talking about his injury and recovery and is actually kind of inspiring. I am assuming it is ok to talk about that here since he was intentially putting it out there himself.

But what I can't figure out is when did Lori hit rock bottom? We've heard nothing about that at all. Sure, she went crazy a couple of months later. But what happened before November 26, 2018 that she had recovered from?

Right?? Why is Lori, the God, whiling away her time in the county jail? Shouldn’t Chad be scrambling around trying to raise the cash to bail her out? Isn’t she vital to the end time plan? That’s why I doubt either of them are truly dedicated to any religious beliefs.

My guess would be the time between her second husband walking out on her and their son and her marriage to Joseph Ryan. The second possibility would have been the time of the 2005 bankruptcy, when she went from a large, well-appointed house to nothing. But there doesn't seem to be anything after her marriage to Charles that would qualify.
