Not allowed to divorce but allowed to kill their spouses? Chad appears to be a master of manipulation. The part I thought was super-odd was where Chad made a "vortex" in Lori's closet where she could go to "connect" with him.

She kept mentioning "we'll talk about that later"..so I think Nate worked out a sequence for this whole interview.........and the kids will probably be brought up in part 3.

I thought part 1 was very good. Congrats to all the sleuthers here for nailing many of the details and timelines previously discussed. Her statements corroborate much of it, we’ll done.

She did appear somewhat guarded but that’s understandable. She also appeared to be a little embarrassed. She sounds believable and I’m looking forward to the next two parts. Especially about the kidnapping and zombies. Should be most interesting.

I've been so excited to watch MG's interview - the hype video worked on me

I've been thinking about what the hype/preview video meant when it said that this interview might change our minds. About what? Maybe:

• Chad being the driving force behind the murders of CV, TD, potentially TR and JJ, when so far it's been Lori who has been placed into this role by the media and public?
• CD and LVD's culpability in any of the deaths under investigation?
• Kids are dead / kids are alive, depending on what MG says? (after part 1 of MG's interview, it seems to me that she believes they are no longer alive)
• Cult vs. a group of friends with interests in exploring these nonsanctioned spiritual beliefs?

Any other ideas?

My impression of MG from interview #1 is that she is nervous, a little embarrassed, and just...bewildered. It seems to me that she found interest in the multiple probations, etc., out of a more hypothetical or theoretical position, and when others started taking actual action, she wanted out.

Just finished watching, My take is that i feel MG is playing down her own involvement in the beliefs a little but is otherwise being truthful about all the info she has on lori and chad. I now also think her smile/smirk is because she's a little nervous, she also seems very sane and willing to admit she got sucked in, i found her very much to be authentic and believable. The complete opposite of what i felt watching MP.

I get the same feelings about MG. I think she's honest, but I also think she may have believed the stories and doctrines a bit more for a while. She did say that she and Lori didn't see one another quite as much toward the end, and hopefully that's because MG was starting to have her own concerns.

There is no evidence he had any business partners just employees. LV took money out that was earmarked for payroll for those employees. That is what we have evidence for.

I don't know enough about business in general, and certainly not Charles', to flesh out the difference between people who lent money, people who invested in the business and people who were partners of some type. I'm not really following this part of the conversation well, but those three things might be being used interchangeably... incorrectly?? There was borrowed money, and there was Lori removing money from the business account.

More like chad wasn't man enough to ask his wife for a divorce so took a cowardly route instead.

Oh, one thing I did find slightly confusing was the 31/21 planet mention but MG quickly pointed out it wasn’t planets but lives. Then she goes on to say Lolo had 4 or 5 lives contradicting her previous statement.

What is it you think they believe? They were on 31/21 planets? They had 31/21 lives? They only had 4/5 lives but the 31/21 reference was to something else?

Is it possible the lives/planet beliefs might have been some delusion/excuse for the kids to disappear? Did they get on a portal and ride to one of the planets? Saved them from the ills of the earth?

Thinking outside the box I know but we’re dealing in the Beyond Bizarre here.

This interview only confirms more to me how i have felt all along, that chad is the driving force behind it all, the master manipulator and lori was the perfect follower, his teachings allowed lori to express her own narcissistic qualities, both as bad as each other but i believe chad is the driving force of all these beliefs. I also don't think he believed in them himself. i think he made them up as he went along, to sell his books, talks and manipulate the people around him.

I think it’s the lens, probably a prime lens with lots of bokeh. I’ve gotten into a little photo/video as hobbies and I have a lens that does the exact same thing. Great primary focus points but blur in the background. I think it’s an artistic thing. Maybe they were trying to hide where the interview took place but I don’t think so.

How convenient to lead a religious sect where you can just make stuff up as you go along, to fit what you're saying, doing and feeling, and people are more than willing to accept it all.
