The interview is off to a great start. I tip my hat to how open MB seems to be so far. I thinkshe may finally give us some of the missing context thats sorely needed into understanding the dynamics of the various relationships within their inner circle.

Im curious if the group that lori invited to stay at their house while CV was away is the same group that attended the pool party the day of CVs death and if MG was an attendee.
Im also curious if Lori hsd already read any of Chads books prior to meeting him and she approached him with a groupie like enamouration or if they both just felt an instant smitten for each other as MB seems to be implying.
Gotta give Nate props for how comfortable he seems to have MG and really drawing her into opening up with stuff that I think anyone would be uncomfortable with sharing in a public format.

As minutes and hours go by...I am actually getting more questions.
I certainly wondered why Nate did not ask about the pool party? It tied directly into that part about Chad and Melanie staying at Lori's house, and them as "the group of 6".

I am actually really wondering about the timing too? Something does not feel right. ...

• Melanie is going out of her way to travel to these events where Chad is ----> Ogden, St. Georges etc...
• April in Hawaii says Lori was reading Chad's books way back a few years.
• But Melanie only meets Lori at Church Oct 2018,
• and says Lori only meets Chad in 10 or 11/2018.
• Lori sends dancing videos in Jan 2019.
• I also expect Lori was living off some proceeds of Joe Ryan's death during these latter months in 2018... the plot develops.

I still think/feel Lori knew Chad much earlier.....

Okay, so Lori and Chad had 21/31 lives, 4/5 on Earth.
But she corrected Lori's 4 to 5.
So they each had 5 lives on Earth.

Last time I checked? Earth was a planet.

Right. But she's saying that Chad and Lori claim to have had 21/31 past lives, of which only 4/5 have been on this planet we call Earth. The other past lives may have been equally divided between another five or so different planets. But your guess is as good as mine as to which ones and how many. *shrugs*

Someone on reddit did a very nice summary of the case chronologically (i dont think I can link it), and now I am so disturbed. This must be the weirdest one I have seen in a while. Unfortunately I honestly have doubts whether Tylee or JJ will be found. The people involved seem vicious and deranged.

I was surprised at the 2018 too. But she did qualify that it was only brief meetings that she had met Chad at book signings or such, before she met Lori.

Melanie has been actively involved in some earlier PAP events before her podcasts with Lori and JM.

My impression...Melanie knows full well the attention this story has gotten world wide. She seems still in a protective mode of what she has been told about these "spiritual things" and how not to share them out right... Not sure if this is out of embarrassment of what the world will think or if she still is hanging on to a few tenants. (I think the later). Melanie seems to be straddling a fence with all her friends and peers who still attend these events. Second thing is that "portal" ..I am leaning towards "FaceTime" in the corner of the closet type of portal with 2 people having and affair but shrouding it in their made up religion and already being married in other lives. I am now curious to see the next part and if my opinions change and she lets her guard down and spills it all out. MOO

Yet there are signs that some of them are defending him. IMO there are lots of strange beliefs between them, but not all are dangerous.

I believe that the reason Chad Daybell wanted to maintain his "temple recommend" is that it is a "status symbol" in an LDS community/network. If you lose it, especially when you had one before, it can have subtle social and business ramifications. And not so subtle.

Maybe not understood by folks who don't live in a very LDS environment. It is huge.

Not so subtle. LDS folks have made it quite clear about the status of having such appointments, and the losing of them. Disgrace comes to mind. I still think this is why Chad even moved to Rexburg. He was sooo hungry for more notoriety. Not that he was disgraced in UT, but he wasn't getting the accolades he felt he deserved.

I found this one PAP and it still makes me wonder about "timing" of these conferences and meetings. Melani was a speaker at these conferences. So was Chad. So was Jason. How could she not know Chad better???

• What was the actual event that Lori and Melanie went to when Lori supposedly first med Chad? Was that PAP or something else?
• And remember Charles referencing the "Utah People"?
• And Brandon saying Melani and Lori were going to these things for 12-18 months? (And Melanie had enough time to develop a deep love relationship with Melani B in such a short time?)
• And why was there no mention of Jason Mow in any of this discussion with Nate? He claims "he met Lori" at the Temple, and Melanie says "she met Lori" at the Church. But this was all in AZ. Is Jason "under protection" here?
• Melanie is making a strong difference between LDS and Chad, and also PAP and Chad. Is that to protect a larger group of folks, or just she and bf?

I didn't find it too odd their paths (MG and CD) crossed as MG is an author. Plus, most of his appearances were in conjunction with the PAP group.

With this quote alone, can you imagine Means saying she was brainwashed and was acting under Chads influence? What would be the legal repercussions of this in court? I know Idaho doesn’t have an insanity plea but would Lori be held accountable for her actions?

This is one reason that its bizarre that they can both be seperately represented by the same attorney without there being a conflict of interest.

Im not sure the word planets is the right word. My gut tells me they believe in past lives on diferent planes of existence.

Outside my husband, I couldn't tell you whether anyone I know does or does not have a Temple recommend at the moment. It would be pretty hard for people to use something as a status symbol that very, very few people would ever see. It isn't something one hauls out in a business transaction or social occasion. That would be horribly gauche.

I understand that it would be hard for Chad to speak to the Bishop about having an affair or about his totally divergent beliefs, and the consequences for that might be something people can notice. But we really don't go around presenting this card to people or discussing it. You show up for an appointment for a private interview, very few people are around in the building at the time; you leave with or without it, very few people are aware which of the two it is; you present it at the door of the Temple and put it back in your wallet, relatively few people you know are sitting in your midst while you are there.

So your impression is consistent with one person's experience....mine.
