There are no words to describe my udder disappointment and anger in Lori and Chad..for both of them to supposedly be religious their whole lives and they couldn’t recognize they opened up a portal with the devil.... I’ve heard other people who claim to speak with souls who have pasted on that the danger in opening yourself up to spirits beyond the veil is that some of these spirits are evil and dangerous...

The true "zombies" are Chad and Lori. Jmo

MG says that Lori wanted Chad to move to Arizona but Chad told her that she needed to move too Rexburg. So she wasn't running to Rexburg b/c of threats from Charles family, like Lori's family claims. She seemed to want to stay in Arizona and didn't want to go to Rexburg. She wasn't scared at all. She went there because Chad told her that is where she needs to be. MOO

JJ disappears
After Lori told Gibb in September that JJ was a zombie, the two decided it would be best to have him stay with his grandmother in Louisiana.

According to Gibb, Lori said, “He’s in the way of our mission, so we need to send him to Kay’s house.”

“We talked about Kay, and we talked about some of her family members that could actually take him on. … We talked about what that conversation would be like with Kay, and she wasn’t sure if Kay would really receive him. … That was the plan that I knew of – he’s going to Kay’s house. … That’s what I believed was going to happen, so I left thinking that’s where he was going … Kay’s for sure,” Gibb said. “I didn’t doubt that.”

Gibb returned home to Arizona and spoke with Lori a few times. Lori told her about meeting Kay at the airport and leaving JJ with her. Gibb didn’t think anything of it until two days before Thanksgiving. She was in Utah for the holiday, and Chad called her out of the blue. She says he sounded scared and nervous.

I dunno. I kind of sympathize with MG. (Boom! I think I got the initials right!). I've been hoodwinked big time once. It took me ages to really see the big picture and to get over the embarrassment and rage.

Towards the end of part 2 I could see her getting indignant. But, I've been there. Jmo

I do, too. Between being primed to believe the woowoo and wanting to give her friends the benefit of the doubt that they wouldn't do awful stuff, I understand why she may come across as a little slow on the uptake when it was all going down.

To me, this is a bit confusing when she said this...

Gibb says despite everything that has happened, she still loves Chad and Lori. She says she hopes they will repent, tell the truth and confess to authorities any wrongdoings they have done.

“I’m only here to share the truth because of those that passed away, and that justice needs to be served. … But if you’re Lori … She’s got to admit that these people are dead and it was because of their teachings and their ideas that they had these things happen. … You would have to admit you actually had something to do with the death of your family,” Gibb says. “It would be hard to say, ‘My belief systems are false.'”

She continues, “I do feel sorrow for everybody involved. … Everybody’s hurting from this. … She’s in … jail now. She doesn’t get to be with Chad, who she loves. That’s what she wanted so badly, and now she can’t even be with him. It was a fatal attraction that led to their separation and people passing away. It’s a tragic, tragic story.”

Yeah, no. It's not a Greek tragedy. It is murder. (IMO)

From Melanie Gibb's second interview: Turns out Lori DID vacation with Chad and HIS children in California. Without HER kids, though.

That potentially makes Chad's children important witnesses, depending on what they told them.

So I guess what we’ve learned from this interview is SS and JC really don’t know Lori and weren’t being completely honest in their interviews. Jmo

As I'm watching this, I feel like MG should have alerted police or mental health professionals immediately when Lori suggested JJ had become a zombie. She should have intervened on these profoundly disturbed and dangerous people.
I don't understand HOW, just HOW grown up people can not only believe, but even LISTEN to all this BS?! Is the critical thinking completely turned off?
If my friend would tell me that she was told her husband became a zombie and was supposed to die, or that she is a god and everyone is chasing her and wants to kill her, I would myself advise her to go to mental evaluation!
What we see here is a bunch of people that "do not judge" and believe that the person receives revelations just because they say so!
I understand, that "faith" by itself assumes that certain degree of absence of critical thinking , because it's about believing, but to this extent?..
One sick man who dreams of power tells others who should live and who should die, and others buy that. Crazy.
Sorry, if this is outside of TOS

ETA: I just so much hoped that all that BS about zombies was just CD's and LV's mating dance. That would give hope that JJ and TR are somewhere safe. Unfortunately, now I have to accept that chances are almost non-existent.

That would also mean his kids know more than they say. Jmo

They were BOLD in their comings and goings once Lori got to Rexburg. Jmo

They are not on the prosecution's list of potential witnesses.

Was it as outrageous as believing in zombies?

I totally agree. At some point someone in their clan should have had some common sense to realize Lori and Chad were going off the deep end.

I feel so bad for Lori's most recent dead husband Charles that got killed by her brother.

He was about the only one that had common sense and he did try to get others to see what was happening with Lori. The problem is that he mainly went to people that seemed to side with Lori and believed some of the same crap.

If he would have been able to get enough people to open their eyes to what was happening, then maybe the kids and his life would have been spared.
