Are you saying that MG went to police when Chad called her two days before Thanksgiving and asked her not to pick up he phone for police etc? When she said she got a sinking feeling?

It seems to me that MG went along with some of this stuff for a bit, or at least didn’t act on it, until after her long conversation with her friend.

I see what your getting at. MG is contacted by police and says JJ is not with her and hasn’t seen JJ for several months but does not reveal the call(s) from Chad and Lori. Several days later, after a conversation with a friend, she decides to tell police about the call(s).

Did it happen this way? I thought it did based on my recollection of the time line. If that’s the case she should of told LE immediately. I know she was probably confused after being duped into this group but if that’s how it happened then yes, she didn’t lie but she didn’t tell the whole truth upon initial contact with police.

The problem is, what info did MG have at that time to know that Tylee wasn't attending BYU as Lori told her? MG was only visiting Rexburg for a long weekend it seems and she apparently didn't question that story at the time. Also, she apparently didn't even know Tylee's real age as she mentions in the interview something about Tylee getting her GED "at age 16 or 17" -- Getting her GED at age 17 would have been impossible since Tylee disappeared before her 17th birthday in Sept 2019. If MG thought Tylee already turned 18 in Sept 2019, then it's not that strange that an 18 year old would go to college and live in the dorms rather than with her mom. But Tylee was still only 16 when she disappeared. I'm guessing Lori lied about Tylee's age while she was friends with MG in AZ to make Tylee older than she was. If so, it's even more evidence of premeditation now that we look back on it-- Lori was already planning early to tell people Tylee was away at school as a cover story for where Tylee was when she was missing-- she told the dog trainer and some relatives the same lie about Tylee going to BYU and even told police detectives after CV's death that Tylee was planning to go to BYU-Hawaii. Most people don't jump to thinking someone murdered their daughter when the mom says the daughter moved out to go to college. I am curious if MG got told that Tylee was a zombie as so far she hasn't mentioned that...

MOO.
Surely MG must have known that Tylee was deemed a level 3 dark spirit as soon as Chad got involved with Lori. Lori likely showed her her family light/darkness ratings.

Not sure if this is the case here but sometimes when "the State" places children in foster or kinship care, and they are all aware the child has special needs, then the State will offer adoption support services (ie: monthly support payments, medical insurance, food benefits, access to services/programs for free or reduced costs, etc). Could this be a factor in the $6k amount? It is not often, but some children with very high special needs can be eligible for upwards of $1500 monthly. Of course, that usually doesn't even cover the costs of expenses most caretakers endure for kiddos with these high requirements just for quality of life issues.
Hmm, that's a good thought - - I hadn't thought about a monthly stipend in place all along due to adoption and the circumstances ; I'm not sure if that would be income dependent. I don't have any experience with adoption at all. Moo.

I'm saying exactly what is written in the probable cause affidavit. MG did not lie when the Gilbert police contacted her on the phone. She said JJ wasn't with her and had not been with her. Police knew immediately that Lori had lied because of MG telling the truth in that phone call. She later (on Dec 6th) contacted the Rexburg police to tell them that Lori and Chad had asked her to lie for them and she declined: https://s3-assets.eastidahonews.com...04/Affidavit-of-Probable-Cause-5-781x1024.jpg

I'm not sure, but sounds like some people are saying that the delay between when MG talked to the Gilbert police and the date when she voluntarily contacted the Rexburg police (2 different LE agencies in different states) and gave them more info is somehow suspicious and means she covered for the POI's at first? Is that what you are saying? I guess we will have to agree to disagree if that's what you think, as I don't see any evidence of collusion happening on the part of MG simply because it took her a few days to go to the Rexburg police and volunteer more info about the calls from Lori and Chad.

MOO.

They may have been sealed in HI temple after the legal ceremony on beach.
Interesting point. IIRC when a couple are sealed in the temple, if they divorce - they must request a divorce (for lack of a better word) in the temple & church records in order to dissolve the "time & eternity" part of their commitment to each other. But, if someone was widowed, I think they are allowed to remarry & be sealed to a 2nd spouse. What I don't remember is whether that is true for both men and women or just males.

This may be of the reasons CD & LVD were thinking it would be better that spouses needed to die vs. getting divorced. Who knows but I keep asking myself if Chad didn't drop acid or some other hallucinogenic prior to his NDE - cuz this Zombie, multiple trials, exaltations, and sci-fi/pseudo religion with a Mormon sprinkling has just topped the latest C rated movie script I have heard in a long time. I have been looking at gaslighting and narcissists and cults. Whew! From what I have gleaned, many if not all narcissists and cults are gaslighting. That’s not to say all gaslighters are narcissists or in cults.

Just a few bits from
Gaslighting: Signs You're Suffering From This Secret Form of Emotional Abuse

Gaslighting is a technique commonly used by narcissists, sociopaths, and psychopaths. Since these are words we typically hear on television to describe a serial killer, you may not realize this person may be in your day to day life.

Projecting
If the gaslighter is a liar and a cheater, they are now accusing you of being a liar and a cheater. You constantly feel like you need to defend yourself for things you haven’t done.”

Quoting my own because this is another o that jumped out of another article.

Gaslighting -- Coercive Influence & Control

BBM and SBM to conserve space.

“Coercive manipulation can occur in any relationship -- intimate, friendship, work or student-related, high-demand group, family, or otherwise. An adult can be promised a better quality of life, enduring love, an easy solution to life's complex problems, a promise to actualize her dreams. Her (although it can be "his") strengths and vulnerabilities are exploited, she becomes more dependent emotionally and financially. A child in such a system may become "parentified" in role-reversal to take care of the parent's needs. It can be dangerous to assert personal rights and pursue healthy goals. Differentiation, self-autonomy and self-agency are not tolerated or diminished.

The abuser/perpetrator is good at what he does so beware! Over time anyone caught in the abuser's web internalizes inaccurate, self-limiting beliefs from traumatic experience and what the abuser declares is "right" or "True". Guilt and fear-induction is used to keep the victim in the abuser's control.”

Sound like TR? How long has this potentially been going on in this family? MOO JMO

I think she was at a crossroads at that time, in shock, maybe paralyzed by fear (of both LE and Lori and Chad) and it took her a few days to process, organize thoughts, and get enough courage to spill the whole story as she knew it to LE. Moo.

Yes, that's how it happened. I'm trying to think what would have changed, had she gone to the police immediately after being asked to lie. Lori and Chad could have been arrested much sooner. IMO it would still not have brought the kids back. MG's chance to save JJ was in September, but she obviously didn't believe Lori was crazy enough to harm him. Adults, yes, but not him.

I just mean the only evidence we have is MG saying it, that doesn't mean it's true, and depends on how much one believes her. Just because someone says something doesn't mean it's real. MOO
I lean toward “Lori told me she went to Temple often”

Part 2 was hard to watch... especially at the end, when MG seems to be empathizing with poor Lori sitting in jail instead of being with the love of her life/lives, Chad... whom MG still loves, by the way. I think she even calls it a tragedy, that Lori can't be with Chad. Did I hear that right?

So bizarre.

Any idea where JJ and Tylee may be now?

Add to that “Will they think I’m nuts?”

I don’t think he can talk his way out of openly flaunting their relationship right under Tammy’s nose. We didn’t know, or at least I didn’t, they openly acted as a couple complete with PDA’s in Rexburg! That can’t sit well with the kids. That’s their mother he was mocking and until today they might not have known it.

JMO but I doubt Chad’s children have even watched these MG interviews. Chad knew how incriminating they would be so it’s likely he would have warned them specifically not to tune in when the teasers were aired over the weekend.

Of course many of their friends & extended family will have watched, so the ugly truth will be relayed to them eventually. By then though Chad will have cooked up new lies to explain it all away.

LE already has MG's statements, so it seems like these interviews are intended to invite those who might be helpful (whether they know it or not) in finding the children or their bodies. Such persons can either come forward and disclose what they know so LE can get to the truth directly, or they can leave LE and prosecutors to arrive at the closest approximation of the truth they can get to by building to it circumstantially.

I hope those people will heed MG's call to seriously think about the relationship of Christ and how he lived while here, his healing, his revealing lightness and lifting of burdens, and the truth. Christ is about an invitation to freedom. Darkness, chaos, lies, and confusion are not; they bind, confine, weigh heavily, and trap.

"Above all, don't lie to yourself. The man who lies to himself and listens to his own lie comes to a point that he cannot distinguish the truth within him, or around him, and so loses all respect for himself and for others. And having no respect he ceases to love." - Fyodor Dostoevsky, The Brothers Karamazov

There have already been too many lies here. It's long past time for some truth.

Interesting that the interview cuts off at 29:00 mins in, and text is posted on the screen before the interview resumes.

MG was saying that Lori talked to her in a phone call about going on a trip to California with Chad's kids. She's not sure if it was in the first call or when she was driving to AZ. Then she says the police called within half an hour to an hour after Lori's call.

Then the writing pops up on screen: -

Screen 1 - "Melanie says she spoke with police that day and the focus of their investigation turned back to Lori in Rexburg."

Screen 2 - "Lori told Melanie that JJ was in danger, Kay and others were trying to kidnap him and, for Melanie's safety, Lori could not say where he was."

The interview resumes and MG talks about talking to her really good friend about her doubts. I think there might be some material cut out in the next sentence too.

It makes me think they have taken legal advice.

I wonder what MG's PAP friends think of her testimony. Especially those who still sympathize with Chad.

I think it's makes Chad even more evil that he's willing for his children, some of whom have small children, to be facing possible prison sentences and he could care less.

Oh definitely. Plenty of evilness to go around in the Daybell household

And what about waiting for CV and TD to die?
MG confirms that LV and CD waited for Tammy's death. CD even brought LV to Rexburg in September and they were openly going around, showing their relationships!
How cruel is that towards Tammy! I wonder, what CD's children will say now. "Revelation", huh?
And waiting for CV to die on his trip from TX to AZ - of course he shouldn't have needed his truck and belongings according to LV and CD... "How could he not die?", asks LV? "Oh, don't worry, we'll handle that", answers CD. "Just a timing mistake".
I feel certain Chad’s children will simply discount anything and everything MG says as lies. She’s a dark spirit at best, perhaps a Zombie herself. Sent by Satan to upset the glorious plan.

Snipped to get to this:

Colby turned 18 five days after the death date attributed to Joe. So, if Colby was actually adopted, I don't see how Lori would receive SS benefits for him for any more than five days.

Either way, this total of $6000 for the children seems like an extraordinarily high amount.

SSI disability payment for JJ would have maxed out at $771/month. (And those funds are intended to support his needs. In other words, if he was living with Kay -- yes, I know, he wasn't -- there would have to be funds from the SSI payment directed towards Kay to support JJ's needs. Lori would also, as the payee, be required to change JJ's address if he had moved there -- yes, I know, he didn't. )

I know the number $6000 has popped up in various places, but do we know where it originated? Is there some other source for these benefits besides SS?

Lori would get survivors benefits from Charles b/c she's caring for a minor child with disabilities?
