I'm not sure about this. While it's true that some LDS couples may hold a ring ceremony (and they are asked NOT to go through the motions of a standard wedding, such as walking down an aisle) after a Temple sealing, it's done so that family and friends who could not attend the temple ceremony are able to share in a ceremony of sorts, but it's not at all a legal ceremony. Chad and Lori were not sealed in a temple, so no reason to hold a 'ring ceremony or what you call a commitment ceremony' and since it was in hawaii instead of at home with family and friends, why hold two ceremonies? I think that Justin knows what he's talking about and they had some kind of ceremony on the beach, possibly not a legal marriage even. I won't be at all surprised to find out the two aren't really legally married yet.
I can see Chad stating that as he is a prophet he is above the law and performed their marriage on the beach. They probably see no reason for a civil ceremony. His poor kids will probably lose their minds over this it is true.

Rereading Lori's email to the school. "...since my husband passed away last month". She certainly didn't treat him like a husband. Treated him, his sons, like garbage and no tears for CV. It wouldn't surprise me if LV reads here and other media. You disgust me Lori.

It's really weird when people deviate from their texting patterns... kind of by design. App designers spend big money to identify texting and hand pattern recog so they can monetize it. For example, even as I write this on my phone, if I type u, I don't get "you" as a suggestion. That's because like Tylee, I spell out the words I use and rarely use shorthand. But if I use my husband's phone and start a text with "u," it comes up right away. He uses shorthand.

This is important because if it were really Tylee typing "u" as opposed to "you," she'd have a pattern of it. She didn't.

I understand but with that being said if and when something happens to me I'm sure my closest family and friends would say " she loved Jesus " "she was a believer " easy to say.... words are easy.

That, I agree with wholeheartedly.

I can't remember now, but IIRC Tylee's friend shared the last text and wasn't U used instead of you? The friend said Tylee would have spelled out the word.

I think this was the original article about that: Friend of missing teen connected to ‘doomsday’ cult received text a month after Tylee Ryan was last seen. But who sent it?

I have had a hard time with the way the story is written since I first read it. The supposed text from tylee spells out the words except "love" (luv in the text). So does the friend mean the text is suspicious because Tylee normally spelled out words (so luv is the suspicious word), or does she mean the text is suspicious because most of the words are spelled out, and she'd usually use more text-speak?

I can't tell if "she spelled her words out for the most part" means that's what tylee typically did or what she did in the text that was suspicious.

Garna Mejia KSL on Twitter
Yes, our sources indicate she was not named as Charles' beneficiary. However, it is unclear if she was aware of this before his death.

Isnt there people within LDS (and other groups) that DO believe in and also use "energy" healing - so those that dont, do you feel like it's not from God? But then rely on Western man made medicine to heal you? And that's ok? MOO

She means that Tylee spelled her words out, so she probably swiped to text or thumb spelled and checked her words. This is important because it establishes a pattern. People don't just decide to use shorthand like that all of a sudden.

I'm also sure there is LDS members who also may - drink, smoke, party, lie, be a part of a mob - but only when they feel its appropriate - just like anyone else - MOO

So am I the only one that missed out on the report from CBS 5 that blatantly says that CV had a substantial life insurance?

I don’t understand why he would have such a high life insurance. Did he have a risky job or something?

Perhaps it is the residual effect of a near death experience. That, and living in Springdale, UT, being a groundskeeper at a cemetery for 15 years. Then, moving to Rexburg, ID, with his LDS librarian wife.

Borderline Personality Disorder crazy blonde chick...probably sounded like a lot of fun. And every crazy idea she had, probably was more and more believable. It probably didn't even sound so bad, after all, Tammy was going to die someday, anyway.

Now, Chad is on the cover of every newspaper, nightly news, and this has probably even increased his book sales. Everyone knows who he is now...
BBM- Lord, I hope NOT !! I pray that NOBODY buys one page of a book, e-book, audio, or anything with his name on it.
This is just what they probably want--increase sales of their psycho world writings.

I know a lot about school records and how the process works and the thing that struck me the most was that the AZ school never received a request for records. This just does not happen accidentally. Generally when a student enters a new district the family must sign a release of records. That form is faxed and the prior school provides the records (there is no one size fits all for records by the way, I have seen schools send 150 pages or 5. Normal is: shot record, b.c., report cards with comments, ss#, and an IEP—which in this case would absolutely be necessary) Counselors often call the district if there are concerns or red flags if necessary (not necessarily written records). Our district cannot accept a students without records! For reasons too numerous to list. Maybe Idaho is waaay more laxed than my home state? Or Lori could have claimed he had been homeschooled and had no records. When they state this is not normal, it absolutely was not.

edit: the only exclusion is if a student is deemed “homeless” and the student may start class upon arrival. Homeless can include doubled up (A family living temporarily with another family). But a record request is still required.
