Before we start discussing absurd theories, JJ was adopted. He is a biological grandson of Charles's sister. His father is a son of Charles' sister. He also has a biological mother who is very much alive.

A bit off topic but I have noticed a few disparaging comments relating to crazy Lori and borderline personality disorder. Its important to remember borderline is a clinical diagnosis and with medication and consistent therapy, people live happy, healthy lives. I have not seen anything cited saying she was diagnosed and/or refused services.

I was reading some comments on another forum where some members were discussing his “Train Dream” and one person did a great job of pointing out how CD differed from mainstream LDS on beliefs. It’s unfortunate that because of these “wackadoodles” and their association with the church, the general public lumps together the fringe groups with mainstream LDS. MOO
Yep, that train dream, which was shared a couple of years ago I believe, was one of the first examples I saw that Chad was not just a regular member and publisher of fantasy books. He was resentful that his famous author's book was cautioned against by the Church's educational arm. I believe that was about the time that Deseret book stopped selling her books. There was a good reason for that, which was obvious as I'd read her books and saw the problems, but Chad and others who think like him, did not see it and were pretty upset. MOO

Yes, our sources indicate she was not named as Charles' beneficiary. However, it is unclear if she was aware of this before his death.

Edit: This story has not uploaded to the ksl.com site yet. I am watching for it and will post when it does
That was already revealed by Charles' sister. Per the sister Lori was not aware she was not the beneficiary.

<modsnip: quoted post was remove>

For the new posters who don't know:
Both JJ's biological parents are alive. They were using drugs, which is why JJ went home straight from the hospital to his grandma and grandpa. His grandma is Charles' sister. JJ stayed for 8-9 months with his grandparents, until Charles asked to adopt him, because he loved children and he and Lori didn't have any together. Neither Lori not Tylee have any biological connection to JJ.

Again, both biological parents of JJ are alive. He has no biological connection to either Tylee or Lori. I don't see any point of discussing something that is clearly absolutely impossible. Lori didn't claim Tylee died in September. Where is that coming from?

And then how do we know if they aren't involved yet?

Did anyone else think the information released today in AZ was a letdown? After Justin’s comments last night, I was hoping for more.

:) Hello,

Yes and No … LOL.

I was hoping for something "new" … In other words, something we had absolutely no idea about. Granted, the info that was released was good info, not much of a "surprise" IMO, but confirmed further what a real ****** LV is.

JMO and MOO !

Well, it has been confirmed by msm that Tammy did have life insurance. So I guess that's kind of new.

In my opinion, that is a fairly normal life insurance policy amount for a businessman like Charles. Lenders and business deals can require you to have a policy as well.
Yes, I agree. I wonder how much Tammy's policy was for.

Yeah, the school was on to her. They had probably seen the news and knew there was a strong discrepancy between her demeanor when she dropped JJ off / her explanation of suicide -- and the news reports. They also knew her. But somehow she isn't bothered with people knowing she is lying.

(Please, even the officer who took her story on the day of the murder, the one who seemed like he was being charmed by her -- even he had to know. Please tell me he wasn't actually falling for that breezy laugh??)

The incident was reported locally as a family related shooting. Nothing indicated suicide, rather that one family member shot another. Maybe they saw the news and put things together.

So far, Lori initially told her oldest son, Colby, that Charles died from a heart attack.
To biological sons of Charles, she claimed she was waiting for a medical examiner to figure it out (despite that it was clearly obvious that Charles was killed by two bullets to the chest).
JJ's school apparently believed Charles' death was suicide.
I guess Lori never heard of picking one story and sticking to it?

Nopynono, that could be. Normally a shooting like this would raise attention, but we don't have all the documents. Say that there was a history of domestic violence or calls at the address of the shooting. That means the cops are going to be a lot more blase about one person shooting another

I hear what you are saying. After I heard the report I sat there for a minute and thought, “huh”.
I knew I would have to go back and read the report again. After doing so I realized that this report did really have some meat. Just a few points I liked was
- once again it showed Lori’s erratic thinking. Her letter to the school and her travels were proof of that.
-this statement, “The warrant was served on December 6, and the document says there's probable cause to believe property is linked to a conspiracy to commit first degree homicide on July 11.” Made me have hope they truly think CV’s murder was criminal.
-and someone on this website brought up that Lori used “u” in her letter just like she used in the phony texts she sent to Tylee’s friend.

these are just a few but I felt better after realizing some of these. I think we are so on the edge waiting for this to be solved that we get our hopes up and dashed easily.
Hope this helps.

Really hope this case doesn't turn into some JonBenet 🤬🤬🤬🤬 where the case is so convoluted, weird and botched, that it just becomes unsolvable no matter what you do or don't know...

Since Tammy's death was originally ruled natural causes, I guess it's possible Chad already collected her life insurance.

From what grandparents described, JJ had an unusually excellent memory, so sounds like he was a savant.

Eeehhh, autistic here, and I sometimes get the feeling people think we're all some form of rain man. While I get that people mean well, those perceptions can be quite a bit off. There are wide spectrums in just about any category. Oh, you say you're a musician? Does that mean you can play that one song you remember from your 8th grade piano recital, or does that mean you're on your way to a sold out Carnegie Hall? Heightened memory is a common trait of many autistics, no need to be a savant. I've also seen a lot of 'there's no way you could control an autistic child without meds' comments. We dont know what level of care JJ required, or what he was especially talented at. I grew up when the medical terminology was 'weirdo' and your 'meds to calm you down' was rubbing shag carpet. There really arent any meds specifically for autism, or at least the ones that exist are for the rare cases where the person is violent to themselves or others. Most will be ADHD or anxiety related. Sorry if I sound a bit soapboxy and its not directed at you personally, I just keep getting the impression JJ's diagnosis might be leading people to some inaccurate conclusions.

Assuming it was even term life insurance, maybe they only had accidental death?

Tammy's death is the oddest. Didn't she die of heart trouble?
