KOOTENAI COUNTY, Idaho (Court TV) — An ex-Idaho trooper convicted of killing his estranged wife faces sentencing Thursday.

In March, a jury convicted Daniel Howard of second-degree murder and domestic battery in the 2021 death of Kendy Howard.

A judge sentenced ex-Idaho trooper Daniel Howard to a fixed life sentence in prison for killing his estranged wife, Kendy Howard.
During sentencing, the judge told Howard "The crime is so egregious... I don't think you should be released at any point in the future."
