I thought it might be handy to put all of the videos from Robert's case in one post for reference. That way we have them for easy reference, since he dosen't have his own forum. I would like to see him have his own forum, so that we can have all of the media, Patty G's videos & other news videos, & a media links threads for him. It would make it so much easier to find info quicker for discussion. Hint, Hint. Hint......

I was just looking at the news releases from the Boise Police Dept. site of the latest arrest the last month or so! I'm shocked at how many have been arrested for meth in Boise! There is a definate meth problem in the area, confirming what another local poster from Boise has posted here! :shakehead:

I will never understand the attraction to any/all drugs that ruins your life & destroys your body like meth does! Haven't any of these people ever looked at the before & after pictures of meth addicated people?????

Sorry for being a bit off topic, but I'm begining to wonder if meth is/was being used by any of the suspects in this case. Like the Melissa & her BF etc. etc.!

Take a look at the news releases & click on the arrests for last month or so for yourself.
I haven't even opened but a couple of them & most of them are related to meth! :shakehead:

Here's the link:

Angel... I recently watched a special on Meth.. iirc it was called meth in america and it was shocking.. it actually covered that part of the country but not that city specifically... just the region and the growth in use.. I will see if I can find it.

http://www.examiner.com/x-1168-Crim...ce-found-blood-in-home-of-Robert-Manwills-mom

video included with this link

ETA: The video, please excuse!, in this media report is none other than Brian... so take it with a grain of salt... However, the caller is not Brian.. so should be considered...IMHOO

Still catching up so if this has been addressed, forgive the repeat. This woman says she was/is a neighbor and that LE found "a lot of blood" in the apartment? Well, when the mom and boyfriend reported Robert missing wouldn't LE have responded to the apartment at that time? And if there was so much blood wouldn't they have spotted it at the time they took the missing person's report? This neighbor's "report" sounds fishy to me.

Hi everyone. I'm new here, but have lurked reading posts for a couple years.

I just heard on radio KBOI that the police are saying bloggers and other rumors are hampering their efforts to find Robert. Well...whatever.
KBOI talk radio spent an entire day trashing the reporter who exposed the mother and b/f's criminal past and Melissa's recent child abuse conviction. People were upset, many saying their past didn't matter, the goal is to find Robert. Good point, but those same people would turn if the mother or b/f had anything to do with this boy's "possible tragic event" and the reporter held back reporting on their criminal records. Catch 22.

SleuthyMamma I would take anything that BD's site or the lady with a grain of salt. How would she know what was found....it's obvious they found something there, but it hasn't been released to the public. It's obvious blood was found somewhere, the BF's truck or in the apt. LE though cannot go in & do a full search with forsenic experts until they have secured a search warrant, or everything they would have found would be thrown out come a trial. They have to follow procedures or we all would be furious come the trial & crucial evidence is thrown out & the perp/s get off because of it!

That's why they didn't do the search till they had probable cause to search. Same as they did at the other guys house, they waited till they secured a search warrant before searching his backyard.

I hope this makes sense for you...typing as I recall the reasons why search warrants are need first. Maybe someone else can explain it clearer than I just did!

OT: Ok now I'm really telling the truth about leaving to go do those errands before the news conference this afternoon.

Until Robert is found, it seems unlikely that any charges can be brought. Mr. Manwill could pursue a civil suit, but I'm not sure that any evidence of a crime has been found. No charges are brought thus far, no arrests and no warrants according to LE. It looks like we're in that "limbo". Another thing that stands out to me in LE's statements is the use of the word "tragic". This indicates to me an "accident" is a distinct possibility based on the evidence collected so far. All it takes is a reasonable doubt to lose a prosecution. On the one hand, it's very frustrating to have LE so tight-lipped. But on the other, it's encouraging to see them as disciplined as they are regarding the quelling of rumors. The focus is on finding Robert, good or bad. The thing that is most disturbing is that Robert has seemingly "vanished" in the midst of scent trails and LE is going in three different directions to find one little boy. It's possible some diversions were created, but I don't believe it was by bloggers. With regard to the drug use, I actually thought the hospital visit may have had something to do with withdrawals, but I was just speculating. There are some court records of interest involving the rental as well.

My guess would be the police were using ultraviolet detectors when they went through the apartment. It would catch blood stains that may have been cleaned up when the police were there initially.

Welcome to WS'S boiseblue! It's so helpful to have locals post what is being said & heard on your local stations. They never post it all on-line for us. I know this from the Nevaeh Buchanan case! (Which I'm still waiting everyday for an arrest in her case! :furious: that it hasn't come yet. Though I'd rather see to it that LE & the FBI dot their i's & cross all of their t's before they do so.)

Angel Who Cares -I totally agree with you and get what you were saying. I am sure they did find blood but just that I don't think it was "apparent" when they first answered the missing person's call. Like you said, I'm taking anything re Brian and his dreams with a big grain of a salt (and possibily a margarita, as well).

If it was cleaned up and only visible with luminol they wouldn't have seen it until the search warrant. The neighbor may be full of it too.

Does anyone know if Idaho has Sunshine Laws like Florida does?

Oh me, I'll admit this is the first I'm reading of this..heard it on the news. I'm sick of reading missing kids, abused kids, you know how it is. This makes me mad and really hits me, my youngest is a 7yo boy. And he is so full of life and learning and having fun. That's what Robert should be doing to do. Enjoying the last of his summer and getting ready for school.

Can someone give me a quick recap.....my first suspicions are always with the parents or caretakers who last saw him. I know its speculation, but what was he supposedly last doing at 9:30??? thanks.

Are you talking about Nate Sheldon's show? That seriously annoyed me. He was going on and on about how their pasts didn't matter, etc., and then I believe it was the next day that the police said Robert was probably the victim of a tragic event. Nate sounded like an idiot imo.

Welcome to posting on WS. I'm in Boise too, and I love it on WS.

I pray that today is the day little Robert will be located. He did not just disappear into thin air. It seems as if it is getting harder and harder to find these missing children and it is not from lack of hundreds trying.

That &#@$^((&) boyfriend knows what happened, and I am thinking the so-called mother does too.

I am thinking that the boyfriend went to the hospital for blood and hair samples, and probably not because he wanted to. Of course I am just speculating.

If they do, I'll be shocked! The northwest states do not like exposing themselves...we're still part of the "good ole boy" system up here, for the most part.

I'm not picking on Idaho - I like Idaho very much! I've mentioned before that I lived in Boise and in Star over 20 years ago for brief periods of time. My mom's family is from Idaho. ;)

I'm pretty sure we don't. I'm proud to say we're nothing like Florida.
We moved here from there years ago, and it's a whole lot nicer here. People are actually genuinely friendly here. Strangers wave at you as you pass them by! :)

Please don't misinterpret this as I don't understand how any person can kill a child, but it's harder for me to comprehend a parent taking the life of an 8 year old.
Babies are fragile and it doesn't take much physical force to kill them. Plus, a person who has no patience and shouldn't even have children are usually provoked by a crying baby that they can't calm down.
I have a 9 year old and he's tough, this little boy would have been struggling and putting up a fight unless he was hit very hard with some kind of object.
How can you get that angry with a child you've known for 8 years ?
I guess I'm jumping the gun a little, but I think mom or bfrnd did it.

My bold. Sit down. Would you believe they said he was going to a party the mom said he couldn't go to?

I had such a hard time, personally, dealing with the Caylee case, I told myself that I wouldn't get involved anymore. It's just too hard. And here I am. These poor kids never had a chance.
