Did he go missing from his house? From inside the house? I'm confused.

So he went missing from a location around 2 roads?? Where were the parents? Who was supposed to be watching him??

I too am a bit confused - and concerned - by the vagueness of the articles. It would be really helpful to know the circumstances of where and what was going on when Rory was last seen.

Update 30 min. ago

CBS 2 Boise
Family is posting in the comments. I'm not believing how quiet this case is in the MSM. You'd think there would be updates all day with LE statements and/or live footage etc. Maybe I'm looking in the wrong places and it's a slow day at WS, but it seems important questions aren't being asked/answered. What's happening there?

From what I gathered...... he was with family visiting family. They were getting ready to leave when they noticed he was missing

Comments from a woman stating Rory's grandmother is her stepmother. She gives a short explanation of what was going on at what was going on at the time he went missing. I have a 3 1/2 year old grandson and I can totally see how easily this could happen. But for the Grace of God go I....

ETA: Yes. My understanding as well.

This is not far from me. Locals have been involved in the search, but PD asked that no more join in as it becomes too difficult to monitor.

This area (the Treasure Valley of SW Idaho), up until a little over a decade ago, was mostly a farming community and we have many canals for use in irrigation for farm land. Rarely is a canal fenced.

Many newer, pricier subdivisions have man-made ponds and small lakes for use by those living there. Some with small docks and private "beaches". Few are fenced, but some homeowners will fence their yards (open fencing, not solid).

Please keep this family in your prayers? Fearing the worst. :-(

Oh what a nightmare! Please find Rory safe curled up somewhere. All that water...ugh.
The poor parents, I can't imagine the anguish...
Lost mine in a department store once, in no more than a second. The panic. She was hiding in a clothes rack.
Let there be positive news here...

I'm in the Treasure Valley also. I wasn't aware there were subdivisions with water features like this. What is the water source? Is it pumped in and recycled over and over? I read (social media so take it as rumor) that some of the irrigation ditches were "messed with" when all the ponds were built. I guess it's neither here not there, I'm just curious about how the ponds work.

I so hope I am wrong, but imo the baby is in the water. Hope and pray he is not.

This has been covered by local media, not sure why some are questioning coverage.

The last few I have followed when water was near ended up with the little ones in the water....sigh

Two is a wonderful but dangerous age, IMO. They can go so far and so fast, but they have no judgement, life experience, or impulse control. Think how many cases of lost two year olds we have followed here.

C'mon little man ... please just be wandering somewhere checking out butterflies.

Truly, he probably saw his oppotunity to get to the water and took it. IMO
