Not that I have seen...one thing that really struck me is the fact she worked for the Department of Health and Welfare, helping people to be more self-reliant. So, so sad... and such a waste of lives!!

I am furious that the dirtbag lived!! I am just shaking my head at how things turn out sometimes. :(
Well, this way he can be prosecuted and not escape justice, like he's done in the past. He tried suicide-by-cop!

I just wish people like that would leave other people alone and just take their own lives!

The policeman said he deliberately crashed that car into the poor mother and children. I wonder if he freaked when he saw the cop and just decided to end it right there. I bet the police and witnesses at the scene were traumatized, especially the policeman that saw it happen. :( I drive that road alot and I will forever think of what happened there. :(

I hope he's charged with 3 murders, since the crash was no accident.:behindbar

He was charged with 2 counts of 2 nd degree murder in the deaths of the mother and child. Court gave him a $1 mil bond. However if he makes bond, he will be taken to the county in which his wife lived, he was charged with first degree murder there and the judge has already said no bond.

Why are they holding him for the 2nd degree murder charges before the 1st degree???

Here are some new details in this morning's paper:

http://www.idahostatesman.com/apps/pbcs.dll/article?AID=/20060617/NEWS01/60617002/1001

snip

A new detail also emerged in court showing Alofa Time’s criminal history, including charges of abusing a spouse more than 10 years ago in California in an incident in which he exhibited a weapon.

There should be deserted, bug and snake infested island for abusive bastards like this!!!:bang: :furious: :furious:

and as I suspected :( ... snip

Testimony Friday showed that a Boise police detective suspected that Time saw a police car on Franklin Road that morning and picked the only other car on the road to crash into and kill himself.

and....snip

Theresa Time took the five required lessons of safety planning at Valley Crisis Center in Nampa and the no-contact order was lifted.

In the safety classes, Time would have learned about the cycle of domestic violence; how abusers manipulate victims, police officers and the courts; and how to create an escape plan. She would have been involved in discussions and watched films in which victims and abusers talk about their experiences. She would have been told about the potential for deadly violence if she returns to the relationship.

Still, Time was among the 50 percent of women who take the classes and press on with rescinding the no-contact order.

“No one wants to believe that their significant other could do this. Everyone is capable,” said Yolanda Matos, executive director of Valley Crisis Center.

I will refrain at this time from commenting about Mrs. Time working to get the no-contact order lifted. :silenced:

The severed head of a man's wife flew from his pickup truck Thursday when he crashed into an oncoming car, killing the driver and her child, police said.

The head, which landed on the roadway after the crash early Thursday, is unrelated to the accident.

I am usually in agreement w/ you Billy, but that is not how I am interpreting this. The head flew from his truck after the crash.

JMO :)
Just look at the first(lead) sentence and not the follow up sentence. "The severed head of the man's wife flew from his pickup truck Thursday when he crashed into an oncoming car, killing the driver and her child, police said." The sentence is structured so at first glance it reads like the severed head did the killing of the occupants of the other car,not the driver of the other vehicle.

It looks as though he was jailed in the county in which the murder of the mother and child were killed. He was arrested at the scene. It was that department that alerted the county in which he resided to go check on the wife. When they went, they of course found her body. That took a little while, they went to the home, knocked, got no answer, had to get a search warrant. By that time he was already arrested in the murder of the other two, so there was no hurry to file the charges about his wife. He had been charged with 1 st degree for her murder now though, but he is still being held in the county in which he was arrested.

Okay, I see your point Billy, sorry for jumping on that too soon.:blushing:

I can only imagine what the police were thinking when they found 2 bodies, 1 survivor and a head.

Well, they knew that all the other heads in the accident were accounted for!

An update on this case.

http://msnbc.msn.com/id/13512139/

Under Idaho law, to seek the death penalty, prosecutors must show several aggravating factors to a jury, which could include evidence that the alleged beheading was particularly cruel and callous.

I'm wondering what beheading wouldn't be cruel and callous?

The poor officer that witnessed the whole thing! To say nothing of the victims of the crash who died! Holy cow, what a mess!

"I'm wondering what beheading wouldn't be cruel and callous?"

If the victim was dead before the beheading, it wouldn't be considered heinous enough for the death penalty in Florida. If that is how he killed her, it would be.

I do get your point though. Beheading takes a little more than just wanting someone dead. I mean, I could shoot to kill someone who broke into my house to hurt my daughter - but I don't think I could behead anyone in any situation.

Jeffrey Dahmer's bologna really DID have a first name.

Glitch that is so sick and twisted and dark. And sounds like something I would say. At least I know I am not alone in the morbid and totally inappropriate sense of humour thing. I think it is how I cope with some of the horrible things in this world. If I didn't laugh I would be in the looney bin (again) by now.:silenced:

Be prepared. I think most people react with horror and disgust at our sense of humor. :-) I have a really empathetic heart, it's just my mouth that is less than appropriate.

I was wondering what ever happened to this guy. I haven't found out yet but here's some background that I found on a web site. I'm not sure how this person knows any of this to be true (perhaps news reports I haven't seen) but here it is for whatever it's worth:

Alofa Time kills wife then 2 in car accident - Domestic Violence

Charges were brought against Mr. Time after he choked his wife in March. They were scheduled to go to court July 25th on this charge. A judge granted a no-contact order which was supposed to keep Mr. Time from having any contact with his estranged wife. Mrs. Time requested that the no-contact order be lifted. She had to complete a safety planning class at a local crisis center before it was lifted...

Boise, Idaho News, Weather & Traffic - KTRV FOX 12 - Alofa Time's Probable Cause Hearing

There's new information that indicates Alofa Time allegedly sexually assaulted his ex-wife, Theresa, the night she was murdered.

The details are spelled out in a one-page letter he wrote, which officers found in his wallet, when Alofa was questioned at the scene of the deadly accident he's accused of causing...

That other letter was entitled "motive" and it included the reason why he allegedly killed Theresa.

"He was tired of his wife hitting him, calling him names, and making fun of his manhood..."

The one-page letter also indicated that Alofa had allegedly sexually assaulted Theresa with a broken table leg from a coffee table found in his garage. Alofa said he hopes that "will give her eternal pleasure for life..."
