Good call. That's a pretty strong resemblance considering the reconstruction was from skeletal remains. And Mitchell's route to Traverse City, MI might have taken him near the Metropolitan Water Reclamation District where the body was found.

No PMI estimate on the UID, so hopefully 20 years is not too long. But parts of the water treatment district look very overgrown, so I can certainly imagine a body going unnoticed for 20 years or more.

I’d think and hope that they’d look into John Spira here.

I see a decent resemblance and he seemingly disappeared pretty much straight up the interstate from where the uid was found, a couple burbs over.
