The subject was last seen wearing the same headband pictured above; she was also wearing a white hoodie, a navy blue top, black pants, white shoes, and she carried a white purse and a transparent backpack.

In the past the subject was located at the area of 95th and Halsted.

The subject may appear anxious and/or sad.

Chicago police are asking for the public's help in locating a teenage girl who was reported missing Wednesday from the Morgan Park neighborhood.

CHICAGO - A missing Chicago teenager was found strangled to death inside a home Tuesday night on the city's South Side.

Around 7:24 p.m., police say the female victim was discovered unresponsive inside a residence in the 7200 block of S. Phillips Ave.

The victim was pronounced dead at the scene, police said. The coroner ruled her death a homicide by strangulation.

She was identified as 15-year-old Amarise A. Parker. She was reported missing back in August and last seen leaving her residence after returning home from school in the 10900 block of South Wood Street, according to a CPD missing person alert.

Nobody was reported in custody. The investigation is ongoing.

She deserved love and care, this poor girl. Not even old enough to drive.
I remember reading about her leaving home anxious and sad, and now to learn about her last moments... it makes me want to cry.

She deserved better.

I don’t think her mother is involved per commentary on social media….she’s probably heavily medicated, which I didn’t know was a thing until a friend of mine’s boyfriend passed away from an OD. She was so odd and different at the wake and she told me later on that they had given her something to help her cope with the day

That name matches an active missing person's report for a 15-year-old girl who was first reported missing in August. Police said she returned home the next day, but was reported missing again on November 26.

The victim's family said she is the same person who was found strangled inside that apartment last night. She was pronounced dead on the scene.

According to WGN 9, Chicago police arrested Joshua Williams Saturday and charged him with murder, in connection with the death of 15-year-old Amarise Parker. He’s facing an additional charge of being a fugitive from justice.

This is just awful. It was known that this 15-year-old had been staying off and on with a 24-year-old man. He should have been arrested long ago.

New information came out in the court documents this week that he has been charged with strangling another person in Colorado.

Prosecutors revealed new details Tuesday on what they believe happened the night a 15-year-old was strangled to death on Chicago's South Side.

According to a proffer from court, Joshua Williams, a 24-year-old now facing first-degree murder charges, was in a "dating relationship" with 15-year-old Amarise Parker, who he is now accused of killing.

Parker's parents had filed numerous missing reports for the teen, who had been staying with Williams for a number of days before her death.

On Dec. 11, Parker stayed overnight at Williams' home, prosecutors said, and a neighbor overheard them arguing into the early morning hours of Dec. 12.

It wasn't until 7 p.m. on Dec. 12, however, that prosecutors said Williams called his cousin and a friend to tell them that Parker was "foaming at the mouth, and he did not know what to do." The cousin then called 911 and paramedics "arrived and found [Parker] lying in an open closet with a blanket covering all but her head."

A search of Williams' phone revealed videos of him touching Parker's body on the night of Dec. 12. It also revealed a Google search history of over 50 searches related to strangulation, the victim's name, the death penalty, murder, how to explain an asphyxiation death, the penalty for murder and overdosing on medication, and other "inculpatory" web searches.

Williams was denied pretrial release, and is due back in court on Jan. 10.

Given the evidence and Williams' criminal history, including being charged with strangling another person in Colorado, the judge ordered him to remain in custody until his next court date on January 10.

After this case is resolved in Chicago, Williams will be extradited to Colorado to face charges there.
