(PEORIA, IL) The Peoria Police Department is requesting assistance from the public in locating a missing female, Anifia M. Nelson.

Nelson was last seen on September 7th, 2024, in the 1400 block of NE Monroe. Nelson was reported missing to the Peoria Police on September 16, 2024.

Nelson is a black female, 24 years old, approximately 5’06” tall, approximately 180 pounds, with brown eyes, and highlighted hair (A photo of Nelson is attached).

Her missing picture isn't very close up but I think this is her. Not 100% certain as the missing photo is hard to see facial detail in but the name is the same and there is a resemblance IMO Fairly recent FB with photos. Anifia Nelson Slightly older FB with photo of same woman, works as stripper/dancer. Anifia Nelson And another (same photos being used) works at restaurant. Anifia Nelson and another (scroll down for a photo - appears again to be the same woman) works as cashier, likely restaurant industry. All are in Chicago area so don't know if that's where she is living and just went missing from Peoria or if she had moved there.

There is a post of her missing here, I can't attach it for some reason however her Mom is posting on there. I went to her page and she just posted an hour ago that she received a phone call from Anifia that she is safe. Too early for updates yet so IMO
