April Capsel, 33, was last seen in Streator on July 1.

The disappearance of the Chicago woman reported missing by the Bloomington Police Department on July 5 still is under investigation, police said.

Her mother Carey Futia said Capsel was dropped off at about midnight on Lundy Street and came to Streator to “meet up with friends.”

So, April Capsel was last seen on July 1, 2023 after a friend dropped her off about midnight on Lundy Street in Streator. Streator Police Chief, John Franklin, said the police department has assembled a task force that includes the U.S Marshals Service to try and find her.

Chief Franklin said that a possible murder weapon was found in a vehicle in Chicago. It has been sent to the Illinois State Police Crime Lab to see if it is the murder weapon.

Capsel is a white woman who is 5 feet, 7 inches tall and weighs about 168 pounds. She has dark blond to light brown hair and blue eyes. She has a scar on her right arm from surgery, and she has a tattoo of a dragon or a snake on her right hip.
