Her husband, Adam Beckerink, 46, a well-known Chicago tax attorney, was charged last month with battering her in her hometown of New Buffalo, Michigan in January and August 2024. He’s also accused of assaulting cops who tried to arrest him, according to FOX 32.

Caitlin's death is still under investigation, but this video from Law and Crime has body cam footage of the husband from a domestic violence call two months before her death.

One year later, Beckerink is now charged with first-degree murder in connection with Tracey's death, according to a criminal complaint obtained by CBS Chicago, WGN and ABC 7.

The complaint alleges that Beckerink threw Tracey over a railing on Oct. 25, 2024, per the reports. Her body was found two days later, per CBS.

At Beckerink's sentencing hearing for domestic violence against Tracey in Michigan, he received a new charge of contempt of court because of an incident at a Concentra Urgent Care clinic in the West Town Neighborhood.

"Consumed alcohol and appeared to be intoxicated and showed intimidating and threatening behavior towards employees of Concentra Urgent Care... where Beckerink had gone for court ordered drug testing," said Berrien County Judge Gary Bruce last Monday.

CPD officers were called to the clinic on West Chicago Avenue after Beckerink was there for court ordered drug testing according to the judge, and showed clear signs of intoxication.

Beckerink without permission touched the hand of a worker and asked her on a date, a short time later he went into the bathroom, pulled down his pants exposing himself to the entire staff, then defecated all over the floor and himself before returning to his car...

Wow. I wonder if he’s plotting (or plodding) his way toward insanity defense? And if he’s been evaluated by any psychiatrist? What else will we learn?
