New details revealed about Carrie Olson’s murder

ROCK ISLAND, Ill. (KWQC) — The trial for the murder of 29-year-old Carrie Olson of Davenport officially began Monday at the Rock Island County Justice Center.

Timothy McVay, 40, is facing charges of murder and concealment of a homicidal death.

John McGehee, Rock Island County State’s Attorney, describes McVay as Olson’s “on again, off again boyfriend.”

McGehee made opening statements for the State of Illinois. Shaun Anselment, the person who found Olson’s body on his property in Hastings, Minnesota, testified. Jared Kaspar, Anselment’s brother-in-law, testified. Carrie Olson’s father, Dave Olson, also took the stand.
