Morrison, Illinois man with heart condition reported missing, car found hours later

"Charles “Chuck” Schoaf, age 70, was last seen by his family on Saturday evening, December 26, according to a statement from Morrison, Illinois’ Chief of Police Brian Melton. Chuck was reported missing at 10 a.m. on Monday.

Around 5 p.m. the day he was reported missing, Chuck’s vehicle was found along Illinois Route 92 in Henry County, just east of the Rock River Bridge, Melton said in his statement. The vehicle, a 2005 Saturn ION, was found by the Henry County Sheriff’s Office roughly 30 miles from his home."

The body of a man found Monday in the Rock River between Hillsdale and Barstow has been identified...

The body is that of Charles N. Schoaf, 70, of Morrison, Gustafson said.
