He could definitely be a teenager, I just doubt he was a student at this particular school. I live in a state where you can get a tattoo at age 16 with parental consent and went to school with multiple kids who got tattoos on their 16th birthday.

Due to the proximity of the school I assume police asked school staff if they recognized him/they had an absent student matching this description. The fact he was found on a weekend also makes me think it's less likely. I do wonder just how close he was found to the school, though- Was he found just off the road, at the school's front door, etc?

I live in a state with that sort of law (New York), except you have to be 18 instead of 16 to get a tattoo unless you're a minor, and you'd need parental permission to get a tat.

From the picture above on an above view, he was probably found very close to the school's entrance. if he was found on the right, he would've been near what appeared to be a tennis court, and if he was found on the left, it was near the entrance.

If he wasn't a student at this high school, he could have been a student at a different high school---Maybe him and another kid from this school district were fighting online and eventually met up to duke it out, but it led to him dying and the perp ran away from the scene. Again, I'm still very sure it could have been a homicide via beating because those injuries look very physical. One on his forehead, under his nose and the side of his head.

It's not a "normal" high school, it's a magnet school that students have to take an exam in order to get into. It seems like it's pretty prestigious.

Maybe this doe was from a different school district? are there any other schools close to this one but still in the Chicago area?

This is one of the injuries on his forehead. These definitely look like traumatic injuries, and if you look closer there appears to be a dent on the left side, or something like a dent. Maybe instead of beating it was blunt force trauma instead?

EDIT: Wait a second, now I'm looking closer at it, there's a small hole in the middle if you look closely enough. Did he die via gunshot wound?

its likely he may have not been a student at this high school specifically, but i'd like to assume he was either someone from a different district or he may have been a drifter.

My thoughts exactly. Age seems to line up. Nobody even recalls seeing him? Like, they didn’t have to know his name, but at least have some vague recollection of him? Maybe that’s just me; I remember faces really well, names are a hit or miss. Does seem a little odd to me. Poor guy, he was so young.

As for the tattoos, I’ve seen plenty of underage people with tattoos, either they got them illegally from some shady tattoo artist, homemade, or parental consent. He could be a teenager. I have tattoos that I got when I was around 11-13, they were homemade. I also have one I got at 14, also homemade. My most recent I got on my 18th at a tattoo parlor. Enough about me; I do think there is a possibility he could have got them with parental consent (if he’s 16 or 17), or got them from some shady tattoo artist. Just my 2¢

I’ve seen Mustapha suggested a few times. It could be him. The height doesn’t quite match up but often the height of a MP is an estimate by family or self reported by the MP themselves so it doesn’t match up with the UID.

I don’t see any facial hair on Mustapha (unless he grew it out in the time he was missing), but other than that the nose looks similar (at least in the drawing of the UID, his nose is a very similar shape to Mustapha.) Height again is different but I won’t rule out the possibility.

They went missing around the same time and a lot of things could happen. he have may grown facial hair and got some tattoos in that window.

If this is Mustapha, it's also possible that whoever reported him missing didn't realize he had tattoos? The cross looks well healed, but the scorpion looks like it might be newer IMO. The ink on the claws doesn't look fully settled in to me.

going back to this, his COD is 100% homicide via gunshot. Looking at images of a gunshot wound, this definitely looks like one. What I assume happened is that he got beaten up and then shot.

This picture of Mustapha looks the most similar to the doe, though the only difference is that the does eyebrows are a little lighter and look for some reason shaved? I don't know if thats just me. He could still be this john doe since the dates line up and his location of where he was last seen is 3 hours away from Chicago. Brownsburg Indiana to Chicago is as said, approximately 3 hours. It can feel faster depending on the route you take and if there's no traffic.

If there have been any rule outs for this doe yet, please let us know. And maybe see what interstate highway connects to where the school is to see if the potential perp dumped the body.

Also, for the tattoos, you guys made a good point about the ink not setting in, but the question is regarding the time window. if mustapha disappeared on the 12th and this doe was found on the 27th, there was approximately a 14-15-day window where he grew facial hair (and got new clothes) and also got tattoos. The reason why I say 14-15 was because Mustapha was reported missing officially by his parents on the 13th, so It makes it shorter.

It's possible that he had the cross tattoo for longer but his family/whoever reported him missing didn't know about it. Based on the position on his shoulder it would probably be covered up by short sleeved shirts. And the amout of facial hair the UID had could definitely been grown out within that time frame.

I respectfully disagree about the wound to his head being a gunshot. I don't see anything deep enough to be a gunshot wound. The light-colored parts of the injury are actually the deepest parts, and IMO it looks like an incredibly nasty scrape. With gunshot wounds you sometimes see a ring of that lighter coloration with much darker coloring in the middle. I wouldn't be surprised if he was hit by a car or something similar.

I understand, its just when i zoomed in on his PM I noticed a hole in his head, along with some scrapes. so yeah vehicle accident is probably on the table for his COD.
