Body found moderately decomposed Laying in vacant lot

Anterior left thigh,old gunshot wound,bullet recovered. Prosthetic leg accompany body. Right lower leg above the knee amputation.

That prosthetic leg carries a serial number somewhere. Unless someone erased it as I don't believe they fade with time.

I know it's a long shot given that Melvin was reported missing from PA in 1989 and we don't have a PMI but, "Washington's RIGHT leg below his knee was amputated due to complications from a prior gunshot injury. He wore a prosthesis."

That definitely needs to be checked. His age is right on target, assuming that he just dropped off the radar screen until his death. His height is well within the margin of error. We can’t go by his weight—he could have lost weight over the years for a number of reasons.

There’s an ‘above the knee’ vs ‘below the knee’ discrepancy, but people make mistakes.
