IL IL - Chicago, UnkEverything, UP155167, skeletal remains w/ outfit by train tracks, Jan'26

Unidentified skeletal remains were found by the railroad tracks near 3800 South Artesian Avenue in Chicago on January 22, 2026. Currently, nothing is known about the individual except for their clothing. Race, sex, age, etc. is not listed on NamUs.

Clothing (photos attached below):

• a brown Brand X Villain brand shirt (size L) with a Texas Chainsaw Massacre design (intact photo here)
• a dark short-sleeved checkered button-up shirt (size unknown)
• a red long-sleeved sweatshirt (size unknown) with "Life Life With Heart" in white text on the front. The sleeve has a partially obscured healthcare logo.
• a red long-sleeved shirt (size unknown) that has white text promoting Cardona's Restaurante & Antojitos Mexicanos in Chicago, IL. Also has the number 18.
• dark sweatpants (size unknown) with elastic waist and ankle bands
• a pair of red lace-up Nike Lunar Force 1 Duckboots (size unknown) (I believe them to be this pair)

Nothing else is currently known about the individual, including the cause and manner of death. But I feel like their clothing is pretty distinctive, and I would love to hear y'all's thoughts! I found pics for the identifiable clothing, but I'm not a Chicago native, so idk a lot about these Chicago-specific companies.

Not much to share from a Chicagoan's POV about his clothing. Cardona's is a restaurant on the north side of the city, which is a good 13-15 miles away. Doe's sweater is from Advocate Health Care for the Heart Walk campaign. I can't find the specific one Doe has on, though, and I suspect it was customized.

What would you like to know? Native Chicagoan here. I'm familiar with the area the Mexican restaurant is located. Lawrence and Kedzie/Kimball area. My experience has been North siders don't typically frequent the south side and vice versa. So, to be found on the south side means they went there for a reason.

4 shirts on to me would indicate the person may have been homeless. I could see 2 maybe 3 shirts but 4? My experience has also that there are alot of undocumented working in the restaurant industry in the Chicagoland area.

The Logoed t-shirt and black shirt would indicate possibly a former worker. Especially the black shirt, typical for back end restaurant help.

I've seen many undocumented living and working together 8, 9, 10 to a house. Sometimes you will find the restaurant owner renting out a house for all the undocumented hired help.

If the person went missing, it is possible others thought this person returned to their former country.

Not trying to be political--just stating my experience with that industry.
