Remains of missing Downers Grove woman Cheyann Klus, missing since 2017, positively ID'd

The Cook County Sheriff's Office said they have positively identified the remains of a woman from Downers Grove who has been missing for more than five years.

The sheriff's office said that with the help of the DuPage County Sheriff's Office and the FBI, they were able to identify Cheyann Klus's remains through dental records.

Downer's Grove and Mallard Lake Forest Preserve are both decently far from where she was found. I wonder what happened.

She may have been offered a ride by someone who took advantage of her vulnerable state. According to the page, she had been partying and drinking and asked multiple friends if they could pick her up.
I guess nobody was available and she fell into the hands of her killer.

The Daily herald gave an address were Cheyann's remains were discovered (On S. Dorchester, Chicago) This is not a neighborhood that Cheyann would have been walking around. It is also a nearly 6 hour walk from B.B.'s apartment on Kilbourne.
