Does anyone else see what looks like a bunch of ghosts? You can see it below Ohio in the photo of the "Cleveland 216" tattoo. (It also reminds me a bit of Munch's "The Scream")

Never mind I see it. No chest tattoo, and the work on his left arm is not a match to our guy. I guess it could still be him but unlikely.

I agree with the arm. I'm not sure what it is but it doesn't look like one we're looking for.

I don’t see ghost. I see a large star on his right shoulder that does look like possibly a kids face above the right elbow. Do we have a clear shot of our UP left arm? His ring he’s wearing says OG which is a good point towards our guy. The watch this guy is wearing is on the correct arm to match our guy. However why is this guy wearing a Baton Rouge shirt? What’s his connection there? Especially if he’s from Indonesia?

Angel is his right arm and there is no shots on the top part of that arm

I think the shadows around the Ohio State University tattoo are supposed to be fire/ flames but it also looks like a skull's face right under the Ohio/Cleveland 216 Tattoo.

Yeah, the base starts as skulls and goes into flames, I’ve debated if the flames were supposed to form numbers.

Moore is a professional artist (the list of companies he's done work for as listed on his website includes Lucasfilm, Wizards of the Coast - the Magic the Gathering people, Marvel and DC Comics, etc.) He would have a lot to lose by stealing someone else's art.

Here is where I saw Angelheart - BIG NSFW WARNING https://www.kickstarter.com/projects/2044665875/mischief-the-art-of-monte-m-moore

I'm clueless when it comes to tattoos. Is it usual to take an artist's drawing and get it tattooed? Does the tattoo artist have to get an okay before doing the work, or is it pretty standard to just accept the customer's desire?

Has anyone contacted Monte Moore, and is it necessary to do so?

And just for the hell of it: http://www.nfllandscaping.com/

No, this angel has basically just turned into basic flash art so it is widely used and would not require permission. His is distinct in that he doesn’t to appear to have had the feathers added that the angel holds. Most professional artist that have looked at his work said it is single needle work so at home or jail tattoos. You typically only single needle usage by amateurs or those who have no other choice.

Finally had some time to read about decomp and tattoos. I saw a number of large blobs of ink on the upper area of the angel and was curious as to if perhaps the ink spread after death. Apparently it does not, so that takes me back to it likely being inexperienced work. https://www.documentingreality.com/forum/f10/postmortem-tattoo-decomposition-111393/ a good link of decomp and tattoos.

This has nothing to do with anything, but do you think it’s weird that his chest tattoo says “forgive me of my sins” instead of “forgive me for my sins” as the original saying goes.

  • #214
I had not caught that but in looking at other similar tattoos most say forgive me for my sins. It’s most certainly different. Good catch.

It’s only odd because most tattoos like this say Forgive me for instead of forgive me of.

I'm curious who the tattooed woman is that sits about his M.O.B. tattoo.

So I have found a list of vehicles towed in Chicago during that time period that had Ohio plates. Any suggestions on how to find out who’s plates these are?
