Prosecutors:Man Burned Home To Cover Wife's Murder
STNG) CALUMET CITY, Ill. A Calumet City man has been indicted on 11 felony charges for burning down his house in January to try to hide his murder of his wife.
Dahnyah Williams, 30, stabbed Dana Williams three times and then set fire to the bedroom of their house in the 1300 block of Burnham Avenue, Cook County prosecutors said. Williams is charged with multiple counts of murder, residential arson and a single count of concealing a homicide, according to court records.
On Jan. 19, Calumet City firefighters received a call about 10:30 a.m. about a fire at a house with a semi-conscious man out front, police said. After firefighters extinguished the fire, they found the badly burned body of Dana Williams, 26, the mother of three young children, lying on the bedroom floor, prosecutors said.
