And than his mother comments"I didn't raise no murderer."

If I had nothing to do with my childs disappearance,for one I would not be sleeping and I would be in such a state of panic and anxious my family would know I was distressed.That statement says to me he knows where his little boy is and is just sitting back,relaxed probably enjoying the anguish he is putting his wife through.

The FBI has been called in to help on the possibility that the child has been taken across state lines, Chicago Police spokeswoman Monique Bond said today.

FBI spokesman Ross Rice confirmed the FBI has been asked to help but said that doesn't necessarily mean the boy was taken out of state. He said the FBI can get involved in the disappearance of any missing child, whether kidnapped or a runaway, and said the goal is to help police find the child as quickly as possible.

I think they probably have Julian somewhere in Chicago still. It is easier to keep a child his age hidden away as opposed to a younger one. They can reason with and threaten him. He has already seen what they are capable of and they won't have a problem controlling him, imo. Bless his little heart. I can't imagine what he is going through right now. It just rips my heart out to know he has to go through it all alone because of some !

I wonder where Julia was during this. She is lucky she and Jennifer where not in the house at the time or they probably both would have been killed.
I just heard that he is it the boys stepfather, that worries me even more that this boy is in danger. It wouldn't suprise me if this guy killed the boy just for revenge against his wife.

Am I the only one thinking that it is a shame that her mom still has to live in such a terrible neighborhood when Jennifer has been so successful? This is such a tragedy!

I'm not sure if this has been covered yet, I didn't have to time to read through all the posts but, I'm a chicago native and that was my area.
I moved away a long time ago (18 yrs) but continue to visit has I have family STILL there. I have some insight on this. When someone has obtained success whether it's a good job or seem to be doing better for themselves folks in the neighborhood feel like your a sell out if you leave. But if you stay your a target for robbery, people begging and things of that nature. It's screwed up I know but that's real, at least back home and nothing has changed.
Her Mom could also feel really strong ties to the neighborhood and may not feel like she could pull up roots and start over.
Me.... I didn't have that problem I had to get out. As someone posted, this area is known for shootings and murders. That's why when shots were fired that morning, no one called police....it's normal.

At first i thought he took him because he was a witness...and he "needed" to kill him cuz he thought if he killed his witness, he might get away w/ it.
But then sometimes i think that if he wanted to kill him, why wouldn't he have done it right there?
So this my new thought....
i was thinking that MAYBE he actually couldn't go through w/ killing his stepson. After all, he is just a kid.
BUT he wants to torture his wife even further, cuz killing her mom and brother wasn't enough.
He took her only child and wants her to think that he killed him, but he actually "put" him somewhere for a little while to make her crazy.
Just an idea??

The Cook County Medical Examiner just told us both Jennifer Hudson's mother, Darnell Donerson, and brother, Jason Hudson, each suffered multiple gunshot wounds.

I am on my blackberry so having trouble with the link, but Chicago Tribune reporting Balfour's mother saying she didn't raise a murderer (right, he was convicted of attempted murder!) and Jesse Jackson was with her. He manages to nose into everything. Also new details about how it happened.

That's a real possilbilty but I am afraid for the boy.He's young and terrified I bet. Please drop him off somewhere.

Julia is a bus driver and was at work when the murders happened.

Ooooo...now that does change things a bit if he is not the father. Troubling bit of news. Are we certain of this?! I still say it is hopeful they didn't kill him at the house tho.

His myspace indicates he is a stepfather, and the boy's name is different, so I don't think he is the bio dad. I think he was in jail when this boy was born (not that jail stops someone from getting a girl preg, just saying). Why her sister would hook up with this type of person is beyond me. I haven't seen any mention of the "real" dad.

The report of the shots being fired THROUGH the front door and into Jason are interesting. Sounds like a struggle of some kind because he was found in the bedroom, not the front room. Maybe the first shot didn't take him down and he fled.

What a waste of so many lives.

ETA: SuziQ's link says bio dad is Greg King. He was with Julia at the church.

I"m with you. I hope they find this little boy soon and that he's okay. I have a horrible feeling that the reason the mother and brother were shot was because his intent was to take that little boy and they tried to stop him. I can't imagine that he's left him with someone and they haven't come forward with the child. Think of how much trouble they would be in for having him and not notifying the police.

I pray he's found safe just like Cole.
