Chicago police searching for missing 15-year-old girl

Desire Tamayo, a 15-year-old girl, has been missing since April 19 from the 3300 block of W. Le Moyne St. in the Humboldt Park neighborhood, and the Chicago Police Department is asking for information.

The Chicago Police Department is searching for a missing 15-year-old girl who was last seen over a week ago.

Desire Tamayo, 15, is described as 4’11” and 110 pounds with brown hair and brown eyes.

She is missing from the 3300 block of W. Le Moyne St. in the Humboldt Park neighborhood.

Humboldt Park isn't the safest of areas, but it has some nice amenties (very walkable and bikeable with good public transport) and has a big park (though the violence in the park has gotten bad IMO)

Pair of Chicago mass shootings leave 12 wounded

A dozen people were wounded in two mass shootings that took place roughly an hour apart Monday morning in Chicago's Humboldt Park and West Englewood neighborhoods.

In the past at least, the crime has been mostly turf wars between rival gangs in Humboldt Park and West Humboldt Park and for the most part, are late at night/early morning.

The area does have good access to the Blue Line so if she wanted a train to take her out of the area it wouldn't be difficult. Here is a street view of where she went missing.
