Obviously, any parent who is missing a child is suffering in ways others can't even begin to imagine...but imagine this poor woman, who is missing BOTH her children. That must be a whole other kind of horror/pain...

Diamond entered the store alone but departed the store with an unidientified black male which looks to between the ages of 27-35. The male paid for his purchase with an Illinois Link card. By the video survelliance tape, it’s only obvious that she didn’t know the individual. The Merrillville Police Dept. contacted the Illinois Link card division and explained to them the situation. Illinois link stated that they could not release the card holders information because of privacy laws, but that they would contact the person themselves. When they called Merriville Police back they stated that, the card holder was a female . They stated to her what had happened and she told them,she didn’t know what they were talking about and hung up. Merrillville Police asked for her address, so they could go to her home and show her an inhanced picture of the male that used her card and accessed it with her pin number to complete the purchase. Illinois Link stated that the information could not be given out even if they had gotten a State or a Federal supeana because Diamond didn’t leave the store with the card holder, she left with a male that used their card holders card. They stated that they had to protect the card holders privacy because of the law. The card holder is protecting the man that was last seen with my child! That is the only lead that we had to Diamonds where abouts but now because of the Illinois Link Card laws my child can’t be found. I ASK YOU THE PUBLIC FOR HELP!! If you have seen Diamond or Know where she may be please contact the Merrillville Police Dept. at 219-756-6173.

I'm not sure what I think of this. If the girls were last seen at a Jewel at 35th and King, that is within the city of Chicago. Why would Merrillville, INDIANA be involved in the investigation? The card holder had an Illinois link card, not an Indiana card..... I don't recall IL police releasing this information - I could have missed it, but I'm not sure if this is rumor or fact. I can't think of any reason Indiana police would have any reason to investigate this as it occured in Chicago.

I was thinking about these girls today and looked them up and am very glad to see their thread is still alive.

I don't know what to think about the surveillance video as we don't who this poster is. They could just be making it up but they might also be a family member or something.

I have never known what to think when it came to these little girls. I fascillate back and forth between what I think has happened.

If it came from Shelia I'd believe it... she's been vocal and the 'anchor' for this family, even when the girls mother was not cooperating with her. (from what I have read.) Thanks for the confirmation.

True. That makes sense. Does anyone know if LE ever released the surveillence tape? I don't recall seeing it, but I could have missed it.

I found myspace pages for both of these girls...Tionda's with a simple name search...Diamond's with a name search through Tionda's friends. I called it in to the cold case investigator and they are going to check it out. :wohoo:
There is a pic on Diamond's myspace although her page is private and it sure does look like the same little girl to me. Both pages were last accessed in '07
What a Christmas miracle if this is them and they are found alive and well!

Yes, the Spaulding page is hers. You just have to look through all the raining "B-ball makes me who I am" stuff. Her background is images from a photobucket account that has been deleted so it is really hard to look at the page.
I checked all the friends and can't find any comments from her on the pages that are public. Of course Diamond's in private so that's of no help either.
I'm hoping LE will get with myspace and be able to get info from them and possibly contact those on her friends list that identify themselves on public pages.

Also, I cleaned up the thread and removed the older posts not related to Tionda and Diamonds case. It was the least I could do for these two greatly missed girls as they deserve their thread to be on topic and focused on their case.

Today is the 9th anniversary of the disappearance of Tionda and Diamond.
9 years is too long. Someone knows what happened to these two girls.
I wish they would speak up. The family of these girls deserve answers.

We haven't forgotten you Diamond and Tionda.

July 6, 2010 (CHICAGO) (WLS) -- Nine years ago today two young sisters disappeared without a trace from Chicago's South Side. Tonight, family and friends of Diamond and Tionda Bradley will gather for an annual vigil for the girls, hoping they learn what happened to them.

The girl would be 12 and19 today.

"Over the years there have been a lot of leads that have come in, and have been actually followed up by private investigators, who I must commend, and certainly Chicago Police we commend them and FBI," said Rev. Paul Jakes, family spokesperson. "But yet we still need the citizens and community to still do their part, because someone out of a big community saw these children being taken by someone."

Chicago Police have officially moved this case into their cold case unit. They said there are currently no open leads.

So sad to read there are currently no open leads. I fully agree with Rev. Paul Jakes, the family spokesperson. Someone who resided in the community at the time knows something. Praying they come forward with the information they know. This family has suffered long enough.

Diamond and Tionda Bradley&#8217;s family continues to keep their case in the spotlight by holding prayer vigils and marches every July 6, the day they disappeared nine years ago.

The Bradley sisters went missing from their South Side home in 2001. They were ages 3 and 10 respectively. They would now be 12 and 19 years old.

Searches in the neighborhood, at the Dan Ryan Woods, Washington Park and in more than 5,000 abandoned buildings across the city yielded no results.

The anniversary of the July 6, 2001, disappearance of Tionda and Diamond Bradley, the two sisters who went missing from their South Side apartment, brings mixed feelings for their relatives.

"It's like bittersweet for our family. We miss them, but get to get the word out," said their aunt, Shelia Bradley Smith.

There's a little more focus on the sweet this year, as Mars Inc. has etched the girls' faces and the date of their disappearance on M&M's Chocolate Candies and donated the candy for use in a missing children's awareness program in North Carolina next month.

I remember when this first hit the news - it was as if they'd just vanished in thin air. You are right Cubby, somebody in this neighborhood knows something, I just wish they'd come forward.
