Circumstances of Disappearance:
Demers was last seen in Johnsburg, Illinois on the morning of October 13, 2003. He left his residence at 4310 Florence Drive to go on a walk. A passerby spotted him on Bay Road near Cuhlman Road in the vicinity of the Pistakee Country Club around 4:00 PM that day. He has never been seen since.

Demers was known to sometimes take long walks and frequents the Fox Lake, McHenry, and Johnsburg, Illinois areas. He suffers from Alzheimer's Disease but has never before became too disoriented to find his way home or ask for help. He does not have a vehicle and he did not have any identification on him. His family doubts that he would be able to remember his phone number.

A week after his disappearance, bloodhounds found Demers scent at St. John the Baptist Catholic Church at 2302 West Church Street. Divers searched the Fox River but no sign of him was found. His whereabouts remain unknown.

Demers was legally declared dead in 2011.
