Woman reported missing from Georgia found dead in Edwardsville; husband also missing

Tykeisha Marie Dixon (Henderson), 33, of Roswell, Georgia was found dead before 6 a.m. in the road near Route 143 and Goshen Road in Edwardsville. Investigators suspect foul play due to the woman's injuries. Police said Dixson has no connection to the Madison County area. She was reported missing, along with her husband, on May 8 from their home in Georgia.

Her husband, Luther Henderson, 39, is still missing.

The Major Case Squad states they were contacted by L. H. SR on May 9th, advising that he was the father of LUTHER HENDERSON JR. DOB 8/12/1981. H. SR explained that HENDERSON JR was in a relationship with TYKEISHA DIXON. H. SR states his granddaughter named S. H. told him that she was in the car with HENDERSON JR and DIXON, and they began to argue. H. SR states S. said the argument went from verbal to physical and saw her father HENDERSON JR point a firearm at DIXON and shoot her several times. H. SR states S. then flees from the vehicle unharmed. [snip] S. states she exited from the car and ran back towards her job at Taco Bell. S. states once she got back inside her father calls her to apologize for shooting her stepmother in front of her and tells her to go get her sisters from his apartment in Roswell, GA. S. states she did as her father requested, called a Lyft to go get her sisters and has not heard from him since. S. states she told her mother and grandfather H. JR about what happened and has not been able to sleep since that day.
