Saw this on my local news yesterday. Mortified. She was allegedly stabbed 70 times.

I've been following it. It's really horrible.

"At about 5:47 p.m., the video shows the door to Morales' unit opening and closing. At one point, Morales is seen in "what appears to be a struggle" with Revuckus before the door quickly closes, a proffer read in court stated.

After that, the door handle is seen turning and moving from the inside.

"It appears someone is trying to open the door to get out," the proffer stated.

About 10 minutes later, smoke is seen coming out of the unit."

I'm hoping against hope the door handle was the dog trying to escape--he did then go on to escape out the sliding glass door.

So, he didn't like the condition of the vehicle so he stabbed her 70 times in the head and neck, stabs the dog, sets fire to the house, then tried to kill himself in jail?!
I've heard just about everything now...world gone mad.

A side note: NEVER have a sale or a buy at your house or the other residence. Meet in a public space with lots of people or at the police station, and preferably be armed and with a trusted friend to back you up. People are certifiably insane anymore. Too many of these cases!

He was upset about the condition of the truck…. A 1994 ford ranger. What condition do you expect a 30 year old truck to be in? Something is so off about this guy… kills a lady over nothing. Makes you wonder about face to face sales

I'm thinking about the medical team that was tasked with saving this 🤬🤬🤬's life. I realize they are trained to help all patients no matter the circumstances but ... I would still be disgusted to even see him in person, let alone have to make him "all better". My sincere condolences to Eliza's family, this is just so sad ...

Oh no, I wish we could go back in time, and one of her loved ones could say NO, absolutely not--don't give your address to this stranger! 🥺

How was he able to attempt suicide in custody? Hanging? I assume he was searched and any weapons removed upon arrest.
He sounds like a total psychopath.

In some states, the name and the address of the vehicle owner is on the title which is signed and given to the buyer during the sale of a vehicle.

This is the second death I've seen recently related to a Facebook marketplace transaction. Michael Ryan, a marine vet was also killed earlier this month in MO over a cell phone.

Society is too unhinged these days to take risks it seems

Just my opinion but it seems many people are going flat out insane, and I'm not including the drugged out homeless that are all over Long Beach. I mean otherwise normal folks. The population seems on edge and I don't even make eye contact with many people in public. Very sad...
I stay away from the political news especially. That what is getting everyone riled up.

I have a feeling he would have done this no matter where he was, and she probably didn't feel like she was in danger because they met outdoors.

RIP, Eliza and baby.

There was a similar tragic case in Sweden on Christmas Day. A 55-year-old woman was stabbed to death, and her two daughters injured, by a for them unknown 22-year-old man, who had seen a marketplace ad. The man had known mental health problems, and he was shot dead by the police when he tried to attack them. It's very uncommon that a person is shot dead by Swedish police, as they try to use non-lethal methods/shootings, usually only 1-2 cases/year, 0 cases 2023.
