I was able to find a link to the Cook County court records. There's not much detail, but Eliza Wasni has a hearing scheduled for this Tuesday, November 26th. No idea how close this is to trial.

Eliza Wasni pleaded guilty to murder in August, 2020 and was sentenced to 27 years in prison. Still no motive for the savage killing of Grant Nelson.

I looked her up on Illinois inmate search. She will be eligible for parole in 2044.
By the way, she's ballooned to 278 pounds. Do they give extras in prison meals?
But seriously, look out world when she gets out. I understand they couldn't give LWOP, but she'll still be young and possibly still very dangerous.
