Helen was last seen in a gift shop at the Mayo Clinic which appears to be 3 miles (6 minute drive) from the retention pond where the car was found.

I read about this case years ago... Helen was fond of show horses... she knew of a scam where horses were insured for very expensive amounts and left crippled or even dead in exchange for money... she reported the crime and was murdered for it...
