Missing River Forest Man Sought, Car Found Near Calumet River

RIVER FOREST, IL -- Police in River Forest are asking for the public's help in finding a man who has been missing since Saturday. Howard Wax, the missing man, has not been heard from, but his car was found early Saturday near the banks of the Calumet River on Chicago's South Side.

Anyone with information about Wax's whereabouts is urged to contact River Forest Police at 708-366-7125, ext. 471.

His family is requesting privacy as investigators work to locate Wax.

Howard Wax, a 53-year-old River Forest resident reported missing on May 12 has been found dead in Chicago, police and the Cook County Medical Examiner's Office have reported.
