HUMBOLDT - It's been more than two years since the Borntrager family gave up hope on finding their lost dog, but Thursday morning their prayers were answered.

The Borntrager family spent the day getting reacquainted with an old family friend.* One of their three sons, Alex, found the Australian Shepherd at their grandparents house.

"It's hard to put into words like you lost a family member and then all of a sudden after you've totally given up they show up, it's really emotional," explained Freeman Borntrager.

Two years and 12 days ago, to be exact, Moweesha ran away on Christmas Eve.* The Australian Shepherd was at the family's grandparents house while they was on vacation in Florida.

I'd love to see the video, but the link doesn't open for me. :(

oh, I found the story and video at this link: http://illinoishomepage.net/fulltext/?nxd_id=326307

What a lucky dog, and family! So glad he is back home. Maybe the person who has been caring for him will contact the family. He looks so sweet and friendly. Animals are amazing, especially dogs.
