CHICAGO (Sun-Times Media Wire) - A teenage girl has been reported missing from Old Town on the North Side.

Javia Mitchell, 15, was last seen Aug. 9, 2018 in the 1300 block of North Cleveland Avenue, Chicago police said.

Mitchell is 5-feet-8 and about 170 pounds, police said.

Anyone who knows her location is asked to call Area Central SVU detectives at 312-747-8380.

Javia has been missing for a very long time, almost a year. I couldn't find any info about her being missing before today's date. Why??
