Forgive me, what does it mean if Doe Network closes the case in relation to other sites like NAMUS and Charley Project? Does WS close the thread?
"I may be mistaken, but I don’t think he is on NamUs. As for DoeNetwork, there could be different reasons — maybe they contacted law enforcement to submit a likely candidate and were told he was no longer missing.

Jens is a very intelligent and sensitive young man, loved by everyone. He failed an exam and shortly thereafter he disappeared. His family believes that was the reason he disappeared. Apparently he was desperately ashamed and couldn't tell anybody of his failure.

What kind of an exam was this, that would make Jens so ashamed that he would want to literally travel halfway around the world just to escape the grade?

I get that, in his mid 20s, whatever he's studying is most likely related to his career. So to get a failing grade in what might be directly setting his life path would be devastating. But was there really no comeback from this? No make-up assignments or re-taking courses? No plan B?

I get the feeling there's more to this, that mental health issues are probably in play here (hence why he's called "sensitive"?).

Also, why Chicago? Why not somewhere closer in Europe? Did he know anyone here? Did police check his computer? Was he corresponding with anyone in the US or Canada?
