IL IL - Joshua Amos, 32, left a strip club, has bipolar disorder, Washington Park, 19 Mar 2023

This might have been already covered in a previous link but his Mom reported that he was an addict and had recently been in rehab. That can change the dynamics of behavior sometimes, especially if there are triggering situations for relapse. https://www.bnd.com/news/local/article273423330.html. The temperatures are especially worrisome. The night of the 19th it got down to 19 degrees in the Chicago area. https://www.accuweather.com/en/us/chicago/60608/march-weather/348308Wearing a hoodie would not be enough warmth for those temperatures for any amount of time. Keeping his Mom and family in my prayers.

Washington Park, IL is outside St. Louis, so southern IL. The temp that night dropped to 20 degrees, so about the same. St. Louis, MO Weather History | Weather Underground

... Friends, family, and other volunteers spent part of their Tuesday morning searching for 32-year-old Joshua Amos ... The Illinois State Police helped organize a search.

ISP reopened the case after renewed media attention and a Facebook page drew more than 9-thousand followers. A group of over 150 people took part in the effort yesterday, looking along wooded areas, ditches, and drainage areas for more than four hours. ... The search yesterday did not turn up any new clues in his disappearance.

This is so sad. Like even if he ended up purchasing illegal vitamins..With what money? Did he go to ATM? Did he have extra cash after he left the adult establishment? Like cell phone records dont give any hints. Bad neighborhood or not...he would still leave a trace..This case is so confusing

UID found in East St Louis, IL on 11/25/2024, no exclusions:

The location seems very close to where he was last seen, but clothing description is different jeans/adidas shoes vs camo shorts/reebok shoes, though there is obviously no way to know if what might have happened after his disappearance. Maybe he was using and was transient in between. I hope LE would be checking this one.

Namus has an unidentified person who is a white male found skeletonized who was found in a wooded area on 2300 Saint Louis Ave in East St Louis. It was found Nov 2024. The skeleton had on distinguishable clothing (the only identifying objects) and does not appear to be a match For what Josh was last wearing last seen in the Video at Emerson Park metro link. The skeleton was found 1.8 miles from where Josh was last seen. Not mentioned in a homeless encampment and look like a good place to dump bodies because this road in particular has less dense houses, vacant lots and wooded area, where as surrounding neighborhoods are more populated. Being a skeleton no cause of death is listed. I cant help but wonder if Josh ended up in the same place. Middle age white men don't typically turn up in this area unless foul play happened. The areas around the strip clubs are rampant with crime, prostitution and drug dealing all through out there. Lots of vacant buildings to dump bodies. Not far from the streets they were searching for Josh. I feel they need to search this area more for others.

I am also working on this un-id male. The 2300 block of this road is in particular a good place for dumping (vacant lots, sporadic houses and some wooded area, unlike all of the highway and busy neighborhood around it. It is also only 1.8 miles from Josh was last seen at the Emerson Park metro link. This area is known for Drug dealing & prostitution openly, and high crime rates. Clothing was not a match for Josh, but this un-id male seems very out of place to me, I don't think homeless in this situation and I believe dumped. The male found is also not Donnie Farris also missing in our area. I have checked with the family and let them know about the remains being found for them to check as well. 2 or 3 years ago we had about 6 different men missing locally, all all foot and disappeared into thin air. 2 have been found since but not the others.

Does anyone know what the failure of tracking dogs means? Does that mean he wasn't there? I don't know enough but its my understanding (which could be completely wrong) that a dog can track a scent even many hours later.
To me it means he wasn't in the area so they lost the scent. My dad drowned in the Mississippi river and his body was 30 feet down trapped under debris. Dogs smelled his sheets and went straight to river where he was stuck. they could smell him through the river water and fish 30 feet down. Dogs are good with human tracking. Cadaver dogs work differently and search for any human remains.... My guess is they used scent dogs for him particularly because had the used Cadaver dogs they should have been able to pick up on other bodies in that area. 3 streets over on the other side of 26th Street they just found a skeleton in December. the condition shows the body was probably there while searching for Josh in the same area. This new body in Dec 2024 was only 1.8 miles from where Josh was last seen and in a less populated street than the streets around it. Good place to dump a body vs the surrounding streets. They need to search that area harder apparently
