A Chicago mom is calling on police to help find her son who has been missing for almost two weeks.

Tangela Nelson said she has organized a dozen search parties with drones and K9s as well as searched through abandoned buildings. But still, there is no sign of her son.

*****
Tangela said her son tried to ask police and a bridge worker near the Calumet River for help, to no avail.

I worry that this was a mental health break of some sort. His arrest record (which I linked earlier) does indicate he likely used marijuana recreationally. at least at that time. Yes, it's legal in Illinois, but numerous studies have shown that marijuana in teens (or use of a potent strain) due to the development of the brain during those years, has lead to an increase in mental health issues including schizophrenia and bipolar disorder in young people, especially young men. 'Always positive for cannabis': More evidence shows weed's link to mental health risks in young adults
