Polish citizens, as many other Europeans, can only remain 90 days with a Visa / ESTA .
He disappeared after 4 months in the US. Did he have a job permit ?

He would have had to have applied for a visa to stay longer than 90 days. And it has to be done BEFORE the current 90 day authorization to visit has expired. Good find, but personally, I'm doubtful it's him
(1) The body was found only a month after the young man went missing. Given the very cold water temps, it's unlikely the body would have degraded to the point that the ME's estimate would be off by 100 pounds. However, the jeans size were Zara Size 34. If that was the Zara UK brand and sizing which would indicate a smaller build than 270 pounds. But if they were a "knock off" Zara jean, the sizing might have been different.

I think that with the internationalisation of fashion now, clothing labels give sizing in a number of different sizing systems so it may not be obvious which particular size was applicable to the purchaser.

Thanks - the website I looked at just showed UK and US sizing for a couple of men's jeans by Zara they offered. The GAP shirt that was shown as evidence did look (in relation to the hand of the med person in view) to be pretty large.

Thanks - I'm still puzzled how they got his weight off by 100 pounds (I've worked with Cook County ME and they're really sharp), but glad there is closure.

I think whoever it is from Cook County that does the entering into NamUs is just making mistakes. I have never entered one, I don't know how easy it is to make a mistake. Like for instance.. his photo shows lighter brown hair/auburn hair and light eyes/blue eyes.. But whoever entered this put brown hair brown eyes.

Rest in peace Krystian! So sad to pass so far from home.
Factoring in the weight gain (170 -> 270 lbs estimated, seems excessive, perhaps he weighed more when he left poland) the facial composite is actually very good, especially with the low brow ridge and wide nose, considering the remains were partially decomposed when found.
