82-year-old Joyce Gatewood, whohas been missing for two weeks, somehow left the Heritage Woods of Chicago retirement home in the 2800 block of West Fulton.

She has Alzheimer’s disease and she also has diabetes.

Gatewood is 5’7 tall and 162 pounds. She has short gray hair.

No news. Apparently she was in a retirement home and not an assisted living/nursing facility that had experience with Alzheimer patients. She pretty much just put on her coat and walked out the door. My Dad's place has a code you have to enter to leave the building and it changes regularly. If he wants to go outside (other than the interior courtyard) he has to be accompanied by staff or a family member.
