12-year-old girl went missing Thursday on the South Side in the Englewood neighborhood, Chicago police said.

Kamari "KK" King was last seen in the area of the 6900 block of South Bishop Street. She was wearing a burgundy Columbia coat, jeans and she was carrying a white backpack with multicolor flecks, police said.

Kamari is described as black with a medium brown complexion, black hair and brown eyes. She is 5-foot-3 and about 150 pounds, police said.

Anyone with information on her whereabouts should call 911 or call the Area South Special Victims Unit at 312-747-8274.

Since the original report there hasn't been one word in the news on this young lady. Given the number of teens that run away from the poorer parts of this city, we often don't hear anything if they suddenly come home.
