Got it sleuthin, and responded.
Don't get me wrong.... I see nothing about Katrina indicating she is capable of putting her family through such hell. I am just wondering if she wasn't put in a position where she had no other choice. Know what I'm saying?
I guess I am just holding out that hope...

A: this thought ran across my mind also. However, if she had a job interview set up, it is doubtful to me that she would miss it.
Knowing Rosa's baby is in having problems; doubtful she would not reach out to her.
She already had another place to stay ...

wishful thinking that she is in Vegas @ the slot machines KWIM?

The only reason that I could see for her leaving would be if she feared for her safety or the safety of someone else. That is the only way it would make any sense at all.

is it reasonable to think that she was in fear for her life? not being snarky, just curious?

  • #804
She confided in someone. I am positive of that.

You're giving me hope that she's still alive. :please: I really like her from her pictures. :)

I was so hoping to check in today and see she was found safe. I am holding out hope that she is safe somewhere. I was beginning to wonder myself if she may have fled out of fear. Someone had stated that it isn't like Katrina to just take off. IMO, fear can make you do things you never thought you would. That fight or flight response can make a seemingly normal person change in a heartbeat. I just really hope she is okay and that she does contact someone to say she is in fact okay. :please:

Well....... I do not know Katrina, nor anyone in her family. What I have been told by those who do though is that her husband is a "loose cannon" and that she was "very sweet". Her husbands past disturbs me greatly, as I think it should. He deliberating opened a gas valve in a home with his parents and brother inside, attempting to kill them. That is not normal teenage rebellion. Only someone deeply disturbed does something like that. Also, I have been told that he was always attempting to make his first wife appear like she was the "crazy one". When the truth was, it was "him making her crazy!" Not sure exactly what my friend meant by that.

yes ive read of his past exploits..the "crazy making"... i totally understand that, ive watched that happen to a close family member. but she just divorced... to just run off is pretty severe imo... i sure hope she is alive but i really have my doubts at this point. i dont get the feeling that she would put her family thru this...jmo... :(

katrina seems like such a nice person and if she was afraid for her life or some such why would she not go to law enforcement first? moo

It does not appear that LE believes that Katrina went off of her own free will. At least, not in my opinion.

What is the consensus that Todd is the masked man at Camryn with the fliers?

I read on fb (so it is unconfirmed) that her bf worked there. Good reason for Todd to do that at Camryn, and embarrass her to her co-workers.

Early on, do I remember it correctly, Todd's daughters were interviewed at the search center pavilion at Schoonmaker Park?

Any idea where I can find the vid?

i just wish i knew what these alleged flyers said -- maybe we could understand better what is going on...jmo

Being from the the area it seems to me that they are searching the most obvious places. If this was a well thought out crime (either before or after) it seems to reason that an individual "clever" enough to scatter her belongings wouldn't necessarily pick an obvious area to dispose of her body.

There are all kinds of fields and wooded areas big and small, without some kind of a clue it will be like finding a needle in a hay stack. For example there is a narrow area just off on N. 2nd and Minns where Willow Creek starts, in fact Willow Creek path starts up behind the High school, runs along the creek all the way to Rock Cut. A good deal of that path is surrounded by wooded areas that are easily accessible but deep enough to hide something in.

Your not kidding....and I'm no scaredy cat either.

There is no way if she did take off on her own she wouldn't have contacted her family, imo. It's MOO, but I don't think we are looking at a good outcome....especially with his past.

:Welcome1:

I agree they do seem to be searching in obvious places considering where her car was found and her scattered items.

It would be good to know a little more about the husband, his interests and habits. Does he own a boat? Is he a hunter? Did they take the new puppy to a park or area to run and get exercise?
I would be thinking long and hard about locations that TS would be familiar with from his youth, an old swimming hole maybe. You get my point.

I am guessing the perp travelled WEST out Lathum road. In every other direction it is more populated and the risk of being seen seems much greater. I am familiar with those country roads north and west more in the Rockton and Shirland area-and not so much with Roscoe or Rockford myself.

You have to consider how easy it would be to move a body to such a location. Does hubby have an ATV?

Does anyone know or seen it mentioned if they are using any search dogs.

i have not read or heard anything about le searches...the family has had dogs but i cant confirm what if any training they have had?

I wonder when the last sighting of Katrina, by someone other than Todd was. If she didn't show up for work that Monday, was she seen anytime that weekend?

The masked man with flyers at her job is creepy. When did that supposedly occur? That would certainly make her not want to go to work because of its embarrassing effect. That is definitely the actions of someone with a twisted mind and that is indeed scary.

I have only seen dogs brought along by volunteer searchers. Doesn't mean SAR dogs aren't being used, but I sure hope they are.

News crews are more likely to film volunteer searches just in case they run across someone who will talk to them, since police usually don't. So there's that.
