It seems to me that

A. She was last seen Monday by husband.
B. Was reported missing by him Tuesday
C. We don't know if she went into work Tuesday or not.
D. He would have had to have reason to report her Missing on Tuesday, which could be he tried to contact her at work and found she hadn't come in, or they could have a daily meeting and he was expecting her.

Not sure the arrangements based on how often they see each other.

I just want to know how the husband knew to report her missing? Did they have a daily arrangement? Did he try to call her and get a hold of her?

Adding this since it differs from some of the above posts - she was living alone in the condo of a friend, thus no one there to know she was missing:

Katrina Smith worked in the human resources department at Camryn Company in Belvidere. Iasparro said the woman went shopping Monday night in the big-box business district of Illinois 173 and 251.

She returned home and reportedly was last seen about 9 p.m. that night by her husband when she left their Tetterhall Lane home to run an errand.

Although Smith lived in Machesney Park with her husband, Iasparro said the couple had been separated for several weeks. Smith had been living by herself, Iasparro said, in a friend’s condo in Roscoe. Her husband reported her missing to the Roscoe Police Department on Tuesday night.

was hubby the last one to see her?

From what I have read so far, yes.

Not much info out there from LE yet though, so trying to keep an open mind.

10/22 9pm feels weird to me......... Leaving to run an "errand" seems to presuppose that she is coming back to the husbands house after the errand. Wonder if they had reconciled so he got worried when she didn't come home after the errand? Had he said she said she was going home for the night it would make more since. But who is at the house of the person you just seperated from at 9 and then runs to simply run an errand.

maybe he was trying to say she was running an errand on her way back to where she was staying.. he may have said to call him when she got home to make sure she got there safety.. OR when he didn't hear from her the next day he got worried... someone mentioned upthread it has pretty rough areas so maybe he was worried because of this..

I am still unsure if he had anything to do with it..

Me neither, I reined myself in until we have more facts. Not to sound like a parrot, but many people pointed at Clint Heichel too.

ETA-The husband is helping in the search, per posters on the missing facebook page.

I don't have a clear idea or not if I think it was him or a carjacker.

I do get that she wouldn't be reported missing immediately, he may have assumed she was just heading home and after he still couldn't contact her the next day that he got worried.

They found her phone so they should have some good information in there. Any money or anything gone from the purse?

I think part of it is that I know couples that are like friendly and be worried if their ex did not call them if they were in a bad part of town... Sorry my mind is kinda jumbled... study neurology..

Hate to say this but from the Map shown wasn't the car found incredible close to a large river? Have they started searching their yet?

Is the location where her car was found a rough neighbourhood?

Is the location where her car was found on route to the condo? Was she on her way to the condo?

Assuming that something happened (God forbid!), how would if had played out? Someone stopped her while she was driving, or she stopped for some reason and someone came up to the car. Held a knife or gun to her head and forced her out of it. She takes her purse with her. Perp kills her, throws the purse in the bushes, cleans himself off with some paper towels which he throws somewhere else, and ... takes her body with him?

Doesn't sound very realistic does it?

If something happened to her at the spot where her car was found the perp would have needed another car to take her with him, else she would have been found by now.

Moo

Just throwing out some thoughts. Feel free to expand on it/change it.

Are the paper towels, or better: the blood on them tested for DNA?

Is it possible to add the locations where her purse and the paper towels were found to the map? I would like to know how close/far they were from the vehicle.

They said they are testing the paper towels..

on the facebook page they are adament to not touch anything!! which is a very good thing so that they don't contaminate the evidence...

Also, I dont' know how to do the map stuff..

How about a car jacking from where she was running her errands, had her drive to that spot or did something immediately drove and ditched the car and the body. Which I think may be in the river.

Mmmh. Reading through the fb page I get the feeling that they are looking for a body ... as if they are pretty sure that a crime definitely occurred.

Ah how sad. :(
